1 up....weird place for an FK tho...
Re: England vs Cameroon
Cameroon could have had 2 sent off here - clear red card elbow and think one of em them spat at an England player too.

I was pleased to see the ref give the fk. So many bottle them decisions but it was a clear back pass.

Not really shown much interest in the WWC up to now but having watched all of the 1st half so far it's actually quite an entertaining game this.

VAR gives England their second goal and rightly so. Can't see a way back for Cameroon.

Re: England vs Cameroon
Rather strange that the Cameroon players are arguing over the VAR decision - it was clearly onside. What the hell can they argue against?

Seems to take ages to decide stuff with VAR.
She wasn't offside. But now they're all up in arms!

There should have been at least one booking there for that dwarf number 7...however, that is the African way....can't accept anything that goes against them...

Not sure what's going on with Neville and the Southgate waistcoat. I assumed it was a bit of a joke the first time he wore it.

Don’t we have a Ted McMinn type to point out the spitting to the ref?TVC15 wrote:Cameroon could have had 2 sent off here - clear red card elbow and think one of em them spat at an England player too.

Re: England vs Cameroon
How can they complain - it's shown on the bloody screen that she was offside. And it was on the bloody screen that England's goal was onside. How the hell can they be up in arms about something that can't even be questioned.

Re: England vs Cameroon
Not a fan of VAR at all. I thought it was supposed to be for clear and obvious mistakes? That goal for Cameroon was maybe millimetres offside.

But it was still off and the correct decision. That's a prime example of VAR doing it's job well.jrgbfc wrote:Not a fan of VAR at all. I thought it was supposed to be for clear and obvious mistakes? That goal for Cameroon was maybe millimetres offside.

I think the rule is if it’s a clear or obvious mistake or for important things like goals penalties and sending offs (and mistaken identity)jrgbfc wrote:Not a fan of VAR at all. I thought it was supposed to be for clear and obvious mistakes? That goal for Cameroon was maybe millimetres offside.

Re: England vs Cameroon
Its a clear and obvious error to award a goal when it's offside. Whether a yard or an inch.Claret wrote:I think the rule is if it’s a clear or obvious mistake or for important things like goals penalties and sending offs (and mistaken identity)
Not a fan of Var but offsides are one example where they work (ignoring the delays etc)
