Great news from Singapore
Re: Great news from Singapore
To be fair to North Korea, they've very recently had an example with the US and Iran as to what happens when you follow through with an agreement to cease development of nuclear weapons.

Re: Great news from Singapore
how is this great news?
- there's nothing new in what was discussed at all - each of the 4 items are repeats of previous accords
- He's upset SK and China through canceling the war games (yes, China was OK with it because NK is actually a bigger threat)
- he's given Kim a platform
- he's legitimized the development and building of weapons as a bargaining tool
- he's getting some MIA remains repatriated, but this has been an on/off occurrence anyway, so not new
- he will now have to back down on embargos on NK in good faith

Anyone surprised? Oh, of course. The sycophants will be surprised. Or they'll call it "fake news" like they do any news they don't like.

BTW. This thread is literally about his meeting with the Korean dictator. You even commented on it when you thought that those of us who saw through Trump's bullshit were just being petty because we don't like your man Donnie. But now that it's painfully obvious, even to you, that he got absolutely nothing from it despite his huge claims to have solved the problem, you're a tad upset.
Trump is angry that all of us who told him that he was being played were right, he was played. Like a ******* piano. Now here's going around making threats against Iran for no reason, other than to disguise his obvious incompetence.

Re: Great news from Singapore
Am I the only person that really liked Obama and think Trump is doing an okay job?
I don't understand why you have to pick a side and constantly berate the other.
They both did/do some good things, both did/do poor things, both made/make a difference and both did/do pointless things (however important or nice they would have been if worked).
The biggest difference I can see is Obama was quite cool... Trump isn't.

Speaking about Kim Jong-Un's regime:
"You've got to be honest about what it means to lead a country, it means killing people. A lot of countries commit atrocities, including our allies."
- Tucker Carlsen, Fox News.
Has anyone been able to identify anything Trump has achieved diplomatically yet? I don't just mean with NK, but with any country?

Slightly chilling that Trump's best friends at the moment are all murderers, Mohammed bin Salman in Saudi Arabia, Putin in Russia and Kim in North Korea, whilst he doesn't get on with democratically elected leaders in Europe.

To be serious I can't imagine Trump, in spite of his often irrational behaviour, sanctioning the Salisbury type of attempted murder that Putin did.

Threats against Iran for no reason? Not military though but sanctions and for good reason like fermenting terror outside their territory.

Iran has breached the limit on its stock pile of enriched Uranium set under a 2015 nuclear deal. IAEA inspectors verified the 660 lb cap had been exceeded. European Nations have warned that any violation will bring consequences, Source BBC newsImploding Turtle wrote:I'm pretty sure the Iranians aren't into fermentation. Maybe you mean fomenting terror? And if the sanctions were about the 'fermentation' of terror then why haven't the Saudi's been sanctioned as opposed to receiving what can only be described as diplomatic fellatio from Trump and his administration.
Instead what Trump did was renege on a nuclear deal with Iran that was design to, and was achieving, Iran's denuclearisation. All that has achieved is Europe developing its own payment system, which allows Iran to largely evade US sanctions, and risked Iran restarting their nuclear program. And what did Trump get in return for his country? **** all.
The guy's an idiot, and so is anyone who supports him.

What the **** do you expect? Do you honestly expect Iran to continue to honour a deal when the other party has already reneged on it?
