103/1 now. 25 extras already; 10 no balls and 5 wides. That’s village.

Brilliant start to the evening session from Lancashire…

Durham 136/4

Jimmy has just taken his 950th first class wicket… What a truly outstanding achievement!

I trailed all the way up there about a month ago to watch my son get a first ball duck (knob!) on that very pitch! And I ALMOST went up for this game until I saw this morning's weather and thought it might be another wasted trip! Kind of wish I'd gone now (but the Windies/Sri Lanka game on tele was another cracker!!)

Dreadful start to second innings. These two get a score far too rarely.

Not much longer I wouldn’t have though. Since his injury playing for England in India he’s offered virtually nothing.

It's a shame about Hameed.
And a mystery.
He really did look the part until the injury.

Hameed faced three deliveries and only looked like a cricketer on the one he left. Beautiful place to watch cricket though.

Lancs in trouble at 62 for 5. Lead by 115 but presume Jimmy can’t bowl 2nd innings.

Good bowling or poor shots ? Vilas and Croft need to stay in today and save the draw. Victory a distant hope i'm afraid

146/6 - lead of 211, hopefully a few more should see us get enough to make it very difficult for Durham in the second innings unless Bamford has done a bit of ball tampering.

Now 250 ahead.

Vilas 69 not out. He's our captain, wicketkeeper and best batsman.

I know you don't like Bamford but you can't blame him for the Aussies ball tampering.

Back there tomorrow for whatever the final day brings.

It should provide a result one way or the other as the weather is set fair.

A fantastic place to watch cricket and again well done to all involved at Lancs CCC and Sedburgh school who have organised this game.

Great pint of Black Sheep.

It’s very interestingly poised. Will be interesting to see how Lancs treat their last three wickets: swing the bat at it and get bowling (without Jimmy) as soon as possible, or just chip away for an hour?

My son spends a lot of time at Old Trafford and says Hameed often trains alone and away from the rest with his Dad coaching him. Not sure that's a good thing at all if it's true.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your Yorkshire brewed ale ty.

Haseeb "bar clearer" Hameed isn't good enough, needs to rein in his aggression and stop teeing off all the time, play correctly.

He'll be a cracking league pro if Lancs bin him off.

Yes bodge a good pint.

No Wainwrights to be seen.

Hameed is good enough but needs some 'proper coaching'.

Dads coaching players at that level?

You occasionally used to get a dad down at Gawthorpe watching the youth team thinking he could instruct his son during a game which is just not right. Not happened to my knowledge for a few years now.

It was only a couple of months ago he scored a ton against a strong Middlesex attack,so the ability's clearly still there,he's in the final year of his current contract,so Lancashire have a tough call to make at the end of the summer,it might benefit him playing some 2nd eleven cricket, just to get time in the middle again,Jennings is another who needs a rocket up the a**e,with his talent he should be piling on the runs at county level.

Jimmy is giving England plenty of injury scares during an Ashes summer,he'll likely be rested for a week or two now anyway, just as a precaution.

Yeah- Jimmy will be in cotton wool now. He's contributed a lot to Lancs' cause already this season (30 wickets at less than 10 runs each and economy of less than 2 per over)- so we can be thankful for that. England definitely need a fit and firing Jimmy for the Ashes.

It'll be interesting to see how long (if at all) Lancs bat today. Durham aren't likely to be a promotion competitor so the onus is on trying to win rather than avoiding losing. Maybe just bat half an hour and try and get nearer 300 lead then get them back from the filed into the dressing room to pad up and have to change tack. Lancs shouldn't hang around too long even if that means Vilas missing out on a century chance.

Vilas just gone for 85,lead is 285 think Lancs will swing the bat now,and Durham will be chasing around 300,with Jimmy bowling i'd fancy us but his absence makes it more even.

Mahmood looks like being the key,4th day pitch so it might be wearing now.

Bancroft dropped early as well, hope that doesn't prove costly.
