Thought series 2 was pretty poor, but two episodes into series 3 I’m really enjoying it.

Enjoyed first season. Disappointed with second but hoping for good things from the third season.

On a sidenote for any Netflix subscribers watch Dark. Same kind of thing in a way but much better. Dubbed but very well and second season also just been released

Not watched S3 yet but there was a noticeable drop in quality in S2. Season 1 would've been a near-perfect wrapped story but for the sink scene that paved the way for S2. I'm mature enough to understand the economics of the industry but based on the final scenes of S1 I reckon it'll overstay its welcome, chugging along from season to season until interest drops, rather than its creators having any kind of end-point in mind. They'll milk it dry.

Just finished season 3, thought it was another series of very good television. I agree with Spiral that there was a drop in quality from season 1 to 2, but only because S1 was a near perfect season of tele. S3, felt more grown up, in line with the growing up of the characters, the action reflected that (people kill people etc), the coming together of the independent story lines was well done, none of the child / young adult actors cant act. (Personally I think Mike had not a lot to do, But he's the worst actor imo, so that didn't hurt it), there was plenty of comedy moments and lots of homage's to the 80's.

Tl/dr: Doesn't get back to the heights of S1, but another solid season of tele and first impression is I thought it was better than S2.

Seems really popular with the teens. Is it worth watching for us slightly older lot?

I’d say so especially if grew up in the 80s.

As others have said first season was great, second not so much but the third was more in line with the first.

The final episode is a real mix of emotions - but make sure you continue watching after the end credits start up

Winona Ryder pisses me off and enthrals me in equal measure. I want her to stop her stupid screeching but she needs to stupidly screech, and it's so over the top that it's realistic.

Oh, and the product placement is...bizarre, but I get it.

But yeh, series 1 was superb, series 2 was rubbish, but series three is a good return to form.

Stranger Things shown as Normal Things in Bacup

NETFLIX show Stranger Things is streamed to viewers in Bacup as Normal Things, the company has confirmed.

The move repositions the series as a relatable show in which teenagers from a small town experience things typical to growing up in the Pennine regions without changing any of the content.

A spokesman said: “We received a lot of complaints from the area about the first series. Chiefly that there were no supernatural events taking place because they were all perfectly normal and hardly worth remarking on.

“We’re also not promoting it in those regions as being set in the 1980s, because in Bacup digital watches, videotapes and extra-long cords on home telephones are right on the cutting edge.”

Bacup-specific name changes have precedents, with Supernatural broadcast as Natural and The X-Files renamed What Happens In Stacksteads.

Irwell councillor Jimmy Eaton said: “Normal Things is an important show for Bacup. Everyone here is very much looking forward to seeing themselves represented on screen. This stuff matters.

“My own daughter is named Eleven. Well after the first eight or so you run out of names

I never really got into it. I've watched both the first two seasons (although only once, and i don't really remember much), and i'll probably watch season three, but i'm not as much a fan as everyone else seems to be.
