Fish and Chips at Fleetwood
Everyone who I have spoken to who is going the match on Tuesday have said they're going for Fish and Chips beforehand.
Where is this famous chippy? And just how busy will it be?

It's about 16 years since I lived there but this used to be good back then. I was there about 5 years ago and it was still good.

Never had any decent fish and chips in Lancashire. Best chippie oils are in Yorkshire

Holts in Nelson. That’s right. Nelson. Of all the places in Lancashire, Nelson takes care of the fish and chips. Spanks all that yaaaaaarkshire rubbish.

What happened to lard with lots of black bits as the essential cooking medium?
Re: Fish and Chips at Fleetwood
At the risk of inciting a civil war, I do think Yorkshire tops Lancs in the fish and chips stakes.

Not been for a couple of months, but that’d be disappointing if it’s dropped off a bit. Drive over from Burnley to get em too.tim_noone wrote:No Bobinho I think the Lads let it go a bit....and no Hollands pies either

Pisces is the well known one in Fleetwood, but I would go via Thornton and call at Seniors.

Back to Fleetwood - try Seniors at Thornton Cleveleys more or less on,t way to ground. Part of a large group but award winner & consistently good reviews. I'm a regular at Seniors at Normoss (Blackpool) & you cannot fault them. P.S. salt then vinegar or vinegar then salt ???.

If you put the vinegar on first the salt then sticks to the chips, otherwise most just ends up on the plate.middleton claret wrote:Back to Fleetwood - try Seniors at Thornton Cleveleys more or less on,t way to ground. Great tip. I’ve genuinely never put the vinegar on first, ever. It just feels wrong. I’ll give it a go next time though.Quickenthetempo wrote:If you put the vinegar on first the salt then sticks to the chips, otherwise most just ends up on the plate.

Re: Fish and Chips at Fleetwood
I live in Fleetwood and can honestly say that most of the chippys are hit and miss.
You might get a really good one one day and it be awful the next.
Pisces is usually good though, but small potions, and Seniors in Thornton is always good but further away (when I'm taking it home to eat).
The Fish House and Johns can be really good... or naff

We used to go to the fish & chip place at the end of the Ferry Cafe, but I think the owner died and the family didn't want to carry on running it. I've no idea if it's reopened or if it's any good?
