Joe Hart
On the assumption he will start against Saints let's all get behind the lad and give him support, we need him as confident as possible and grumblings from "supporters" wont help. Far too easy to blame him

Re: Joe Hart
Absolutely Vegas. The lad is a great keeper, i'd like to think even the great unwashed can see that. He may not be QUITE as good as Tom, but if he isn't, he isn't that far behind. People need to get behind him like they did with NP when he came in.
Sometimes though, I just despair at the shite I hear being bellowed from the stands. Some muppet last nite gobbing off to Hart for NO reason whatsoever. We do like a scapegoat round here...

Re: Joe Hart
He's had a full pre-season and no-one's preparations have been disrupted by European qualifiers - two huge differences from the last campaign.
It's also amazing the little faith some have in a management and coaching team that are about to deliver a fourth consecutive season of top-flight football.
Would love Pope to be fully fit and firing on all cylinders but if he's not then so be it. Confident Hart is more than up to the job.

I am absolutely raging, I’d Hart starts on Sat we start 3-0 down.
The guy is a liability.
By game two the crowd will be on his back.
Hopefully my friend at work is correct and we have bought the keeper from Leeds.

seems plenty don’t have.
Some fans in the bob lord last night even have him stick as he ran past to warm up.
Really strange.
Many fans wanted him to fail the minute we signed him. And same will happen again. Scrutinise his every move and mistake. And despite being a big fan of his it’s a key reason we should’ve agitated to keep Heaton.
But yes I agree. Get behind him. He’s a top player who’s won more than probably any of our players ever will.

If he starts next week we will have a re run of last year, bad results untill dyche finally makes the change around Xmas and puts pope back in and then as if by magic the results will improve. Hart was good once up on a time. His last year at city and everywhere he's been since he's been awful.

Re: Joe Hart
Its the typical small minded Burnley mentality. Hart is derided as a no hoper despite winning the league with City and getting about 80 England caps, but he isn't "our Tom".cricketfieldclarets wrote:He will get the backing of most fans with a brain. Thankfully seems plenty don’t have.

Re: Joe Hart
that's just a crock of you know what, you have no idea that would have happened. The significant changes were McNeil coming in, Westy becoming more energetic and involved in midfield getting around the pitch more, ala Dean Marney and getting Barnes and Wood working well together. Bardsley also gave us a shot up the arse and some leadership on the pitch. I reckon we would have stayed up with Hart still in, he didn't cost us that many blatant goals to cause us to be at the bottom of the table. If his communication and organisation skills to the back 4 were so lacking and caused us all of our problems then you really should be getting into management with hindsight such as that; stop talking bol"£$%&tybfc wrote:Because if Hart had played all of last season we would probably have been relegated.

Re: Joe Hart
I believe that certain members of our defence had more to do with the pre Christmas bad form last season, never mind a Joe Hart. Something was amiss and it was more to do with not playing in front of Heaton than it was playing in front of a “bad” keeper. And Tom could well have been behind that.
