Little gripes
I've had enough of all this positivity given our start in the league and I'm sure there are alot more miserable old sods who feel the same.
What are your little annoying gripes of football.
Mine are:-
1 - Ankles on football boots
2 - The pitches are too perfect.

Modern day songs. "He's one of our own, Allez, "The greatest team the world has ever seen". No he's not one of your own he's from Taiwan. Allez? Do you actually know the meaning lad?, The greatest?, you're in league 28.
Fans. Y'know the chavy youths who think their a mash up of Liam Gallagher, Green Street but there mums still wipe their arse

Re: Little gripes
Goalkeepers time wasting.
Goalkeepers holding the ball for way past 6 seconds and never getting penalised.
Goalkeepers punching shots they should catch.
Goalkeepers whinging when they get challenged in the air.
Err....goalkeepers.

Re: Little gripes
The political correctness in football. Rainbow laces, the need for every single representation in society even if it's at the expense of good qualified people.
Transfer fees another one, it's gone way beyond the joke.
Sky sports news since social media, no I do not care what some random fan thinks of a transfer on twitter, or what a player posts or tweets.
Double barrelled names, why has this become so rife recently? It's the constant need for parents to want their kids to be different. Stick to a last name and agree.
Fans posting reaction videos to a dramatic moment, watch the game and stop attention seeking. I saw a post of a bloke watching the cricket world cup final decked out as a batsman filming his reaction to winning the world cup. Seriously? Just watch the ******* game.
It's been one of those days

"Shielding" the ball out of play when it's actually blatant obstruction in old money!
Making religious signs at every opportunity as in stepping onto the grass, leaving the grass, scoring a goal, missing a goal, being subbed etc, etc. I've nothing against religion, but this is sport. Do these people do it every time they enter and leave Tescos??

Re: Little gripes
Going down like they've been shot when the ball hits them. Not sure how many of you have used one of the modern balls, but they wouldn't hurt - especially not to an 'athlete'. Put it this way, it ain't like being belted at full blast with one of those hard plastic things on the inside of your thigh in mid-January.

Provided that 'the ball is within playing distance' the whole time then it was allowed as far back as the mid-1970's when I qualified as a ref; how 'old money' are you talking gorats and dubloons?Dark Cloud wrote:"Shielding" the ball out of play when it's actually blatant obstruction in old money!...

Re: Little gripes
Nothing against foreign players /managers but how have we ended up in such a dire situation whereby the best clubs in England buy, train and improve more players from abroad than our own?
Let's be honest, the only reason we have had a lot of England internationals is because the usual supply from the top 6 are rare nowadays.
Okay, well it's more of a big gripe, sorry.
Oh and I hate diving too.
