It will be. Already selling warm up T shirts and training tops in the same colours in the club shop.bobinho wrote:Teal and black? It won’t be...

I was replying to Martin, who suggested it would be smart. It won't be... not in those colours.burnmark wrote:It will be. Already selling warm up T shirts and training tops in the same colours in the club shop.

Re: Here’s our third kit....
I bet the teal training top that’s being sold in the club shop is nicer than what the actual kit will be

Looks like the training top. But if it is those colours I will be happy. Loved the green and black 1994 kit.

You can tell from that picture? I can't even tell there are two colours.

Have you got a picture of Heaton wearing it? Oh wait.

The one we never won a single game in? I occasionally see the odd weirdo wearing it still. When I see said weirdo on a match day we always lose.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Looks like the training top. But if it is those colours I will be happy. Loved the green and black 1994 kit.

I've seen that same weirdo. I always give him the withering 20 yard stare. Probably a decent bloke but he does look a weirdo. Anyone on here?Longsidebogs wrote:The one we never won a single game in? once of a day, miners or mill workers were not interested in their teams colours and designs. Would have seemed an odd thing for men to be bothered about.

Re: Here’s our third kit....
In fairness, we did win an FA Cup match in it at York. We were originally told to wear it at Wembley for the play-off final having lost the toss of a coin to decide who wore home kit, but the players were adamant they didn't want to wear it, they hated it as much as us. We won the day by changing the colour of our shorts and socks to the home kit and playing in all claret.Longsidebogs wrote:The one we never won a single game in? We did win a league game with it being used - although it was Southend that was using it after they for some reason brought their all red away kit

. thinks it was actually an FA Cup Replay in November 1993 and not a League Cup match. He recalls Burnley did play a League Cup tie at York in August of 1994 but that was a 2-2 draw and played in the yellow kit with black pinstripes.ClaretTony wrote:In fairness, we did win a League Cup match in it at York. Re: Here’s our third kit....
I didn't know which kit they brought but they certainly wore that dreadful kit, last game of 1994 and we won 5-1. In the following season, Manchester City reserves had to use the shorts against us on the Turf, I think we scored seven that night.wilks_bfc wrote:We did win a league game with it being used - although it was Southend that was using it after they for some reason brought their all red away kit
I don't know who on earth was responsible for kit back then but the away kit ordered for the next season was that farcical yellow thing they turned into a Wembley shirt. When Mullen saw it he apparently said they wouldn't use it. That's why the away kit was so late in 1994/95, we played in it at Middlesbrough and no one had previously seen it.

Can remember them playing in red shorts & socks, so can only assume that they brought their away kit as their home was a dark blue

When asked if Burnley should ever be playing in a halved kit, given that it is used by another Lancashire club, chairman Frank Teasdale shouted: "Go and support Blackburn then."

It's alright that, we've had worse. I hope they still plant a tree when I get the kids one for a tenner in February. Good idea anyway.

So why is this being worn for our first away game, when the actual away shirt doesn't clash.
I like the kit, but I thought the whole point of a third kit is when the Home and Away shirts are suitable
