Always surprised to hear he's still reffing. That PNE game, featuring The Worst Decision Of All Time® seems like a lifetime ago now.

I think we've seen that VAR could be done by a chimp - they only look for handballs and offsides. Forget the rest, you're stuck with the ref's decision.

However, why would you have such a good ref sat on his backside watching a telly and have someone as incompetent as Mason reffing what could be one of the biggest games of the season from a relegation point of view?

Does anyone know if Villa have the same VAR system as us or is theirs connected up?

I’m guessing he will be referring on Sunday. And it’s a bit dramatic to claim that it could be one of the biggest games of the season from a relegation point of view.

Is it? You don't think that us and Villa could end up 17th and 18th by the end of the season?

A friend of mine , who lives in Bury, was at a kids 5 a-side competition in bolton, talking to a bloke on the touch line.

The guy turned out to be Mason's brother. When my mate mentioned he was a claret, Mason's brother laughed and said "you'll not get owt when our kids reffing a "Dingles" game you know. Hates 'en"........

I thought he had a shocker tbh! He should of kicked the the 5 or 6 lads who went down in seperate incidents out of play and got on with the game.Villa are a bunch of effin cheats that Wesley was a disgrace for tarkys yellow card, and the other incident with the ball to the face pretending he was knocked out for 5 mins! Also our 1st goal elghazi clutching is face to get the goal disallowed he never got touched in the face at all! Bloody glad we got out of there with something, but mason well and truly got his pants pulled down! I hope he watches it back!

I thought that it was despicable to act unconscious. As a precaution he should have been removed from the game and required to miss next weeks games. Head injuries should be taken very seriously.

He was a disgrace! The ball did not hit him that hard and to then feign that was appalling.

We could, but I think it’s a stretch to say that this could have been one of the biggest games of the season from a relegation perspective. And I would be surprised if we finished as low as 17th.

As for Mason - that was probably the worst we’ve had this season. Very poor.

Villa had obviously done their homework on the twerp. He bought virtually everything they feigned.

Mason is chancer given an opportunity he didn't, and has never since deserved. A bloody awful referee whose incompetence knows no bounds. He must have something on someone in authority.
