FAN BASE TODAY
Spoke today with numerous fans across whole country. Never fails to amaze me how many fans we have across the whole country. But walking out I spoke to two fans who travelled from Oslo. How supportive is that

Are you sure it wasn’t Walsall. The accent is a tricky one....

If you want to meet a Clarets fan go to a motorway service station - never fails, we come from all over - but have to say I’ve not met any from Oslo!

Oi we're from Walsall. But I'm a fully fledged northerner. My missus on the other hand is born and bred from Walsall and I've no idea what she's on about most of the time.Hibsclaret wrote:Are you sure it wasn’t Walsall. The accent is a tricky one....

Re: FAN BASE TODAY
Why don’t they support a team from where they come from? Hate these glory-hunting “supporters”.

Re: FAN BASE TODAY
Spoke to friends at work who are non-football fans and said you can go anywhere in the world and bump into a Burnley fan, point proven when abroad for work last season for Newcastle away and in the pub walked a group of 10 people who supported Burnley and met a guy at the bar from Brunshaw.

We definitely had one Norwegian at the game yesterday who posts on this board. He rarely misses a game now, home or away.

Tony I spoke to two Norwegians on the way out-could have been one of the ones you mention. What a great compliment to our club if they do this weekly

There were a couple of hundred Clarets happily chatting with locals in Warsaw before the match yesterday.

Andy - I know that we have some wonderful pub stops but they don't have Wetherspoons in Warsaw!

There was a group of kids behind us in the upper tier that were wearing “Sydney Soccer” gear - although admittedly not many of them sounded Aussie
