Non-League footy Saturday
Especially as at least 2 of the morning WC rugby games will be off, Ive just been looking for any local live footy to entertain me on Saturday. Eastleigh is one option Ive previously taken as is my local club Basingstoke Town. I see, though, its the Preliminary Round of the FA Trophy & think I may go (20 mins train trip & short walk) to Winchester City v Thame United. I go to Winchester a lot for gigs (2 different good venues there) but never seen their footy team.
Anybody else watching non-league/lower league this Saturday? I see there are two localish FA Trophy games: Ramsbottom v Colne and Clitheroe v Prescot Cables. Always good to get pay-on-the-gate cheap entry, cheap tea & pie and walk to round all 4 sides and hear the players/coaches shouting.

Penistone Church v Bridlington Town in the FA Vase. Don't mind international breaks now, really enjoy the non-league games.

There is Padiham v Bishop Auckland too this Saturday in the FA Vase. Game in conjunction with Prostate Cancer UK too. Entry is half price for Burnley season ticket holders.

AFC Fylde v Sutton.
Could be Dave Challinor's last match (not that I'm going for that reason)

Sacked at 3.30. Probably even blamed for today’s game being called offMarney&Mee wrote:AFC Fylde v Sutton.

Buxton. Last two league games.
They beat Grantham 7-0 last Tuesday.
Lost 7-0 to FC United of Manchester today.
Funny old game.

Re: Non-League footy Saturday
I decided to try out Padiham for the first time. Thought i would look considering i live there. Was a nice day for it though and apparently it was quite a healthy crowd. Swelled by a large contingent from Bishop Auckland. I enjoyed it even though Padiham lost 1-0. A really short backpass costing them in a game they largely dominated. Just a total lack of attacking belief and bite.

Re: Non-League footy Saturday
I went over to Clitheroe.
Thought Prescot Cables had a few players that looked handy.... Clitheroe on the other hand not so much.
Clitheroe's number 10 was abysmal
