Re: Danny Dyer "The Wall"
bullseye was never in that timeslot. it was mostly on sunday evenings.
and i suggest you watch some of the repeats of it on (i think) challenge tv. it was and is utter drivel. the only thing worse than the soulless, permed cretins who participated was the cocky, mike baldwinesque, clayton waanker who presented it.
i'm highly unlikely to watch anything with danny dyer in it but i suspect bullseye is one crappy yardstick.

Saturday night telly is indeed depressingly shite, but i agree with yTib that it’s too easy to get dewy-eyed about how it used to be. I grew up with The Generation Game as the Saturday night staple. Imagine the reaction if they were to put that on now!

firstly bosscat, bullseye was indeed crap. perhaps you aren't old enough to remember it. jim bowen getting forty quid out of his grey suit and giving it to someone with absolutely no personality.
secondly, anyone who uses those little laughing emojis to iterate their point is a little girl.
so i suppose my first point was correct.

I found it ok. Found it funny how the woman in the isolation unit answering the questions thought her sister might have had a chance when she only got two questions right. Clueless. Mind you they were from Leeds so what do you expect? Made the right choice though in the end. The format i was fine with. Danny Dyer as a host? No.

Only be one series of this IMO.
Won't be watching it again. Must be a reason why DD doesn't asks the questions. Did the host mess up ++++++ during rehearsals?

Re: Danny Dyer "The Wall"
Decent concept.
What I dislike about most game shows these days is how they try and turn the contestants into but part actors/hosts.
The end section of this where the woman had either taken the money or hadn’t was ridiculously drawn out. Both contestants telling us why and how......just turn the board green or red and have done with it.

I was thinking the same thing, which is why I think only 6 episodes have been done. In fact, this could actually harm his off-Eastenders career, as he's clearly not a natural at presenting.mdd2 wrote:Only be one series of this IMO.

He can actually be very funny, such as when he was on the The Last Leg and when he called David Cameron a twohat. He's just not up to this. Much better suited to Eastenders and panel shows / chat shows, where can swear his nut off.

Saturday night for me is channel 4's offering ""Spiral 7 " . Brilliant. French cop series (the 7 being the number of series so far ). You will need to watch in sequence to understand the relationships and history between the characters.

Yet another TV show promoting the concept of gambling.
No wonder young people are struggling when TV adverts and game shows litter our screens promoting the idea of betting and gaming as a get rich quick solution.

Ha ha. I noticed there was an Edmund on there, is he a Blackadder? To be honest the poor sod probably doesn’t know that old law of prima nocta.
