Re: Clapping today
One directly after Chelsea scored... Sorry, but I don't want to be remembered like that thanks
Re: Clapping today
Yes 4. And then followed by a sort of medley combining all four. So 5 in effect.wilks_bfc wrote:Wasn’t 2 it was 4.

Should be one game a year ( as the Jan 19th game )where names could be read out etc and a mins silence as otherwise it’s becoming nonsensical

Re: Clapping today
Correct , and much as I respect the passing of a fellow claret games like today do make things almost farcical ,there was even one after Chelsea scoredjrgbfc wrote:The confused looks on their faces before they start clapping is a bit of a give away.
Re: Clapping today
Talking in Miners before game and someone said why not have a montage of fans who have died recently and want to be remembered on the Turf prior to kick off and families can clap others can clap if they want to then just get on with the game. The main one being in January for all Clarets who've passed away with more off a celebration.

A guy in front of me did all his clapping for the dead and not the team. BFC are missing a trick here they need to charge a grand a game that will sort the job out

It’s getting ridiculous and meaningless and it shouldn’t be. It’s not fair to the people or their families. Other clubs don’t do this. Put a note in the programme and keep the one a year day we have to remember all the people on the last year that have passed away.

Re: Clapping today
Utterly ridiculous and embarrassing.
By the time the fourth picture came up (which I believe was hampstead claret) people had had enough.
What if it had coincided with the VAR check? It would've made it even more daft!
Just get rid!

We're over 120 replies, the vast majority being against these events, very rarely are so many posters in agreement so perhaps its time the club stopped allowing these pictures etc on the screen, we've all seen today that it doesn't work.

Re: Clapping today
Plenty clapped in the CF end for them all. Their service of been longstanding clarets was far more worthy of a clap than what was on the pitch.

Unfortunately it's the sign of the times. When someone dies on the roads they have to make a shrine on the spot the accident occurred. If you want a shrine bury your dead and visit the grave don't pass your grief on to every other Tom, Dick and Harry

I’d stop all the fan announcements on the screen - so what if it’s Albert’s ******* 60th birthday.
It’s properly tinpot, even more so when we are in the money league, charging fans for the privilege of showing them on the screen, invariably from some drunken holiday in Benidorm.
Use the screen for football purposes and at a push commercials for the proper revenue.
