Wales or South Africa?

Post by Tricky Trevor » Sun Oct 27, 2019 7:27 am

Wales for me. They seem a bit banged up. A couple more knocks today would help.
I just don't see them winning but hope I’m wrong.
It would be grand to see a 6Nations final.

Tricky one. On paper I think Wales is an easier game for us in the final. However, they beat us very often.....

If we play like yesterday we win against either of them and it would be more fun beating Wales

Wales, and to inflict a defeat so devastating, either by annihilation or great fortune, that it haunts them through Christmas. Bwahahaa.

Losing to Wales in the final would be an absolute disaster, we'd never hear the last of it.

A Pyrrhic victory for Wales would be ideal. Scape through but totally wrecked for the final.

Wales will be a closer, better final. And in Wales v England i'd support Wales.

I think Wales will win today but lose next weekend.

Try living here, they are so passionate about rugby that nothing is impossible for the welsh, it's Wales for me and then the final will go either way.

I will be supporting South Africa this morning, just as most of the Welsh, Irish and Scottish contingent will have been cheering on the All Blacks yesterday! But this time however it's not domestic rivalry, I genuinely think South Africa are less of a threat than Wales even though the sides are even. You saw how much we picked our game up yesterday, Wales would do exactly the same against us. England are more likely to keep that edge against a Southern hemisphere team.

I don't know who is the better side out of these two, but South Africa have won the world cup twice.

So on that basis, probably better to face Wales.

I hope the best team win ..... I hope England win the final, but if England don't win, I'd prefer Wales to take home the Cup than South Africa.
The place would probably have a month long party, with an open top Bus for each player, and they'd be reopening long closed maternity wards in 9 months time, I suspect ....

Not a patch on yesterdays game. Far too much kicking, whichever team get through will get beat in the final if they play like they are so far.

Feel for Wales, dropping like flies with injuries.

Score wise, still in this. But they have been dominated.

Biggar kicking every time is not doing Wales any favours. They have had a couple of opportunities after turnovers but he has kicked them away. They are still in this match though, although the George North injury is bad news for them.

Wales. Then I’d like them to beat England in the Final. Union’s a Posh-Boy Fringe Sport here in England, and a National Institution in Wales. It’ll matter more, there.

Big try for the Boks 16-9 they lead with 20 minutes to go,centre shouldn't be evading three tackles though, the Welsh will have to throw the ball about more now,and that could lead to even more handling errors.

The Taffs piling the pressure on mind you, they're camped on the SA line.

Great response from the Welsh, they need to move the ball wide that's were they'll get their joy.

Drop goals must be in both teams mind's soon.

ET looming large as well,i'm sure Eddie Jones won't mind if that turns out to be the case.

When you see the absolute respect between the teams yesterday and the attitude of the Saffer number 19 there. Chalk and cheese. Only one thing worse than a bad loser is a bad winner....

He was even laughing with his mates whilst clapping them off. Absolute to55er imo

Reminds me of this...

South Africa look organised, strong defensively and play it tight, but I would think England will be far to strong for them

Delighted to see S.A. scrape through. Can you imagine the garbage we'd have had to put up with if the Welsh had got to the final ?
If we are to lose next weekend, I'd rather it be to the Springboks. If we'd have lost to Wales, we'd have never heard the end of it. The bastards yap enough as it is.
Fwiw, I think playing SA gives us a better chance, tactically, to win. If we can do a job on the All Blacks, we can do one on them. Wales' spirit would have been too much for us.

Saffers were strong defensively, but England have so many gameline breakers and finishers,it's hard to see how the Boks will keep them quiet, and i can't see SA having enough attacking flair to disturb England unduly.
