Will Hughes
Anybody else think he’d be a good signing?
Hasn’t kicked on since his Derby days, when he was linked to L’pool & Spurs.
If Watford go down his price might not be outrageous. Certainly better on the ball than our two CMs and has a good workrate also.

Re: Will Hughes
I don't think there's much in it stats wise since Hughes joined Watford.

Re: Will Hughes
Well, we could sign a lot worse, but he's always flattered to deceive for me, and as you say yourself he hasn't kicked on.
Doesn't seem particularly driven. Average, really.

I'd have him here if the price/wages was right.

Not good enough for a top six team.

I’d have him here, and what’s more Will Hughes is someone i can imagine Dyche showing an interest in.
Amazing though he’s still only 24! He seems to have been around forever

Said on it on the match thread, I'd have him here.
He's our sort of player.

He is a great footballer except for the odd late tackle and far too many dives.
Would love him and Ward Prowse at t’Turf

I'd also have Ward Prowse long before Will Hughes

I said the same about Joey Barton before he signed, but if he improves us as a team....... all's good.Shore claret wrote:Just one of those players I just don't like.

Re: Will Hughes
A very good player lurking in the background, just waiting for someone like Dyche to
sort him out and put him on the right path to glory with a top 6 side.

He’s exactly the type of player we should be aiming for.

Re: Will Hughes
Not for me thanks...
Would cost too much for a start, and...
Would need to spend far too much time on the bench before he would be ready for our team.
A luxury player without the luxury of him running the show.
Now. Delefeu on the other hand...

100%. We said exactly that when we saw he was in the line up yesterday.

Can only assume you’re being ironic saying Hughes would cost too much then suggesting Delefeu (sic)bobinho wrote:Not for me thanks...

Re: Will Hughes
I suspect that the Pozzos would be like Fawaz; far too hard to deal with.

I'd imagine Deulofeu would want a wage too big. Quality player though.bobinho wrote:Not for me thanks...

Not a bad player but too small and lightweight to play in a midfield two

Re: Will Hughes
No irony, just sayin how good he is. Yep delefeu would also cost too much...
Just how creative is he tho... considerably more than Hughes.... and by some margin.

Re: Will Hughes
Hughes was mentioned on here plenty enough when he was at Derby, if we didn’t get in before Watford then I doubt we’d be chasing him now.

Deulofeu is the definition of a luxury player. Unbelievably selfish.

Re: Will Hughes
Back then Watford were burning money. If they go down players will want to leave. I don’t know his contract situation but they must have some mega-wage earners on the books.claret wizard wrote:Hughes was mentioned on here plenty enough when he was at Derby, if we didn’t get in before Watford then I doubt we’d be chasing him now.
