Clarets highlights of the decade
So as the 2010's draw to a close what's been your best BFC memories, there has been more highs than lows over the piece.
1)Winning at Ewood
2)Winning at Stamford Bridge
3)Europa League qualification
4)Beating Liverpool at home
5)Hendrick's goal at Goodison
6)Keane's equaliser against Boro
7)Defour's FK at OT
8)Defour's goal against Bristol City
9)McNeil's 1st PL goal against the Hammers
10)Performing a great escape last season when all seemed lost at Xmas
I'm sure there's loads i've missed,so feel free to add yours.

Surely Sean Dyche's appointment is number 1?

Keane’s equaliser
None of what happened afterwards would have happened

Re: Clarets highlights of the decade
Great highlights, but Tiger there's still a year to go! The decade doesn't end until December 2020...
Re: Clarets highlights of the decade
That looks a pretty good list Tiger - wouldn’t disagree with much of that.
Heaton’s save against Zlatan at OT was pretty special - as was his comeback game last year v West Ham.
Joey Barton goal v Southampton on his return to the club.
Danny Ings goal at OT where we played them off the park and lost 3-1 somehow !
Beating Man City at home with that brilliant George Boyd goal.
The Wigan home game where we clinched promotion was brilliant.
It’s not been a bad 10 years as it ?
And can you believe we still have fans who are not happy ?!!!

Beating them
That run of 23
The Middlesbrough game
The Preston game
Sustained premier league seasons
Going 4th
Europe
And many more
It’s not been a bad decade has it?
Probably the best in my lifetime

That quote seems very apt,and all our success isn't built on sand,we're securing the club's future by sensible stewardship, and not relying on a rich sugardaddy.
I'm sometimes exactly what exceptations a minority of our fanbase has,yes we need to improve the club on and off the pitch, which we're doing, but this has to be done in a sustainable manner, just because we have PL status doesn't mean there's a bottomless pit of money.

Re: Clarets highlights of the decade
Most of the above plus being 3-0 up at Chelsea at half-time was surreal.

Robbie Blake v ManU
Justice @ BHA
For all the stick some get, on here, the quality of player we have now.
Just 3 I hadn’t seen above.

Re: Clarets highlights of the decade
Been a terrific decade beyond anything we could have ever hoped for. Hard to pick one but that day at Charlton was special, besting Wigan to go up two years earlier was also. But I can’t ever forget being 3-0 up at Chelsea at half time. That was something else.

Can't disagree with any that has been mentioned,
Heaton's performance at Old Trafford that iconic star save.
Defour's free kick at Old Trafford in the night match
The England debuts

Re: Clarets highlights of the decade
I disagree, though the point is debateable - but anyway, what indeed are twelve months between friends?

Billy Elliott - no, not that one - getting sent off for his "look of intent"...
Re: Clarets highlights of the decade
As well as many of the highlights above, building the Gawthorpe training centre which is probably some of the best money the club the club has ever spent

Re: Clarets highlights of the decade
The last two draws at Old Trafford, both which should have been wins, are very special in our household (wife Utd supporter although Claret season ticket holder). The free kick from Defour to put us two up in the Boxing Day 2017 fixture was very very special. Just hope we can take it to the next step up and beat them home or away within the next month or so. That would trump the lot for me.

Re: Clarets highlights of the decade
First half of the 70's weren't bad, until Jimmy had players sold, but then started our near terminal decline.
So reckon the this last decade has to have been the best since the 60's.

1. Dominating Blackburn Rovers
2. Becoming an established PL club
3. Back in Europe after a 50 year absence

And his equaliser at Brighton away that should have been the winner.
Arfields goal away at Brentford.
Burnley player scores winner against Belgium in euro quarter finals.
Getting 18 million for Andre gray.

OUR 2016 heroics at old trafford , but specifically Tom Heaton's masterclass.
That display was incredible, and as a team the commitment was outstanding. Fighting spirit and genuine passion. Loved every second of it.
