Was looking forward to Southampton away as we usually fly down but with it being a 12:30pm KO and on TV will give it a miss as the flight back is 8:30pm.

I suppose with only 5 games taking place across the weekend there was always a good chance the Southampton game would be on T.V. At least Newcastle away is on a Saturday afternoon for a change.

They have done a four/six split over the two weekends and all ten are televised.

Shows that this winter break thing was all about money. Didn’t think any different to be honest. Won’t be long until every week all games are televised.

Clubs wanted a one week break in Feb and TV didn't so they compromised. Every club gets a one week break and TV still have their matches to show. So not really about money because there are no extra games on.

Was looking forward to a first ever trip to Southampton but after the huge let down of the Spurs away game not sure whether to be pleased or disappointed that a 12.30 KO means I'l be watching on TV in my local pub rather than spending £200+ on a weekend away :-(

Be pleased... I like the trip but much better when warmer though tbh.

Mate, I ended up spending £550 in less that 22 hours. My own fault.

As far as the game goes, Southampton a brilliant away day but you’re better staying down on those times if you’ve the spare cash. Pisses me off because it will half our hardcore support, who don’t deserve the grief. End of the day we can’t argue because it their show and we have to do as they say

When I looked yesterday you could still get flights to Southampton for 86 quid. Would involve staying over Friday though, time for a few beers Saturday afternoon before flying back Saturday evening.

Gentle reminder, CT. You haven’t yet updated fixtures. You might be busy today?

There’s a flight from Manchester at 8:20am on the Saturday.
