What would you suggest?
My concern going forward is price increases which have been held down since Baldwin replaced Hoos.
I would have thought something creative like;
- Offering discounts off in the store or offers on the concourse at half time perhaps.
- Maybe a 3-4 free brews over a season.
- Why not include the first 2 cup games in each cup for those that have held a ST for the full period of time of being in the Premier League.
Im not suggesting they should do all of the above or any of the above as its not the cost/value of what they offer to me but just something that shows they appreciate the money we have spent over the years whilst the club is in a good financial position.
I wouldn't be against a similar thing being done for non season ticket holders if they can quantify a level of financial investment in the club over the last 5 years like away game attendance or general attendance which could be gained through their purchase history.
Appreciate that the club/supporters may not feel they have to do this or should do this but given how our owners are not in the same league of these horrible foreign money grabbing owners we all hear about, I thought as a fan, they would appreciate their fans in a way which would make doing something every now and then or putting in place some value to reward those who continue to attend matches would be a great piece of PR for the club.
We may not be always in this fortunate position and if we go down at any point, the profit we have now won't last forever. I appreciate that the ST cost has remained static so that could be seen as a benefit but I think the club would be mad to even think about raising prices at the moment.
