Lowton
Another clanger yesterday that cost us a goal, but to be fair he had some good moments too.
That said, is there any way back for him now with us (obviously a Bardsley injured aside)?

Re: Lowton
Bardsley a much more solid defender but offers little going forward. I'm worried that we don't seem to be looking for a new RB and CM.

We must be, its glaringly obvious what we need, and as many on here tell others, we aren't the professionals.....Flying Without Ings wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 2:18 pmBardsley a much more solid defender but offers little going forward. I'm worried that we don't seem to be looking for a new RB and CM.

Re: Lowton
Fingers crossed we are. I'm just going off Dyche's comments in the media, but hopefully we do find a player or 2.WestMidsClaret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 2:21 pmAdd a RM to that too. But it be fair we dont know whether we are looking or not.
We are crying out for a full back who can overlap and deliver Trippier-type crosses for our strikers.

Re: Lowton
I don't think Bardsley is a great defender; he backs off too far too boften allowing players into to box and into dangerous positions. Having said that he is the better option of the two at the moment. However, a new right back is needed.

Re: Lowton
Bardsley has been done twice by the same movement recently, costing two goals.
Lowton is only better though if he is on form - and there's little evidence of that.

Re: Lowton
I think his time is limited now at Burnley. Gone completely off the boil and is making too many errors. Think they will encourage bids for him in the summer unless he’s out of contract

We don’t publicise it when we are looking at players and which players they are. Having said that we have been linked with a number of right backs.Flying Without Ings wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 2:18 pmI'm worried that we don't seem to be looking for a new RB and CM.

Re: Lowton
That young right back Matheson he an outstanding game for Rochdale against Newcastle yesterday. Seen him a few times this season and looks a big prospect.
Can’t see us buying him and chucking him in the team though. We desperately need a new RB though.

Re: Lowton
I never had any issue with Lowton and always thought he was fine, but he's almost overnight become a "busted flush" and it's almost as if something weird has happened to him. Suddenly instead of just searching for a quality midfielder, we need to upgrade at right back too and fast imo.
