Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
only saw him last week when they played Spurs in the cup, was rubbish for the Spurs winner, bit like Ben Mee yesterday not being able to keep up with a quicker player. I can't judge him just off that though obviously. Doesn't seem the Boro fans are too bothered if he goes

What does his family heritage have to do with anything? I couldn't care if his family are gender fluid, A-sexual, Eskimos as long as he is a decent footballer.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 4:30 amA top player and Asian Hertiage as well
Would be a good buy never mind loan

East Lancs has a large proportion of Asian Heritage residents and over the years we have had very few youngsters coming through to out youth teams
This was the reason why I mentionef Hamzas ethnic origin
He would provide an inspirational role model for young footballers of Asian heritage in East Lancs

Do you think they could have got the words ‘Premier League Strugglers’ into the article some more?

Few players at Leicester yesterday who may be available.
Choudhury left out of the squad in mysterious circumstances is one who we've been linked with. The other two I thought about yesterday are Demarai Gray and Marc Albrighton, who don't seem to getting much game time.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
I'd be amazed if Leicester let a promising youngster like Choudry go.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
I'd take Choudhury all day long. A massive upgrade on our 2 current centre mids.

"not for sale"…"even if Ben Gibson is dangled as bait"
If he was dangled from a motorway bridge Steve Gibson would soon step in to save his nephew.

Marc Albrighton could be useful for us in carrying the ball forward and taking on a defender.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Indeed, it’s not like they described Boro likewise... as in “lower league Championship strugglers”

This has to be the most boring transfer rumour thread ever. Unfortunately, it's probably because we won't be signing anyone before the summer.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
I don't know, the summer 2019 thread was a very long and boring thread too.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Right, I’m a bit confused. Do we have any monies or not? I thought 5 years in this league would give us quite a lot in the bank. Yes I know about the huge cost of running the club but we have profited year on year. Surely £30 million is a perfectly acceptable amount for the club to spend now each year on incomings. So far this year we have spent less than £10 million?

List of positions that we should spend £10m on before centre back (In order of priority):
Right back
Centre mid
Right mid
Striker
Utterly bizarre.

Not bizarre if Gibson leaving on loan or if Tarks off in July.
We have to sign what we can but I doubt if SD and the Board are not in agreement with you RVclaret

Ladies and gentlemen I give you...
Mr George Boyd
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
You’ve literally just said it - Gibson (£15m) leaving on *loan* to be replaced on the bench by another £10m. I make that £25m which for a club like ours with 1. little money to spend 2. that is desperate for a right back/centre mid/right mid doesn’t look good.
Understand that Tarks might leave but if he does we bank upwards of £40m to spend on a new centre back. Right now that £10m could be going on/towards a priority first 11 starter in the above mentioned positions which could keep us in the league so we can continue to earn the £120m a year.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
How do you know that that's the only £10m available and that the recruitment team is not looking at other areas? One thing that has come out clearly over the years is that transfer activity is always highly secret at BFC, and rightly so.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
10m now, could be 20m in the summer.
If a target is available, that you think improves you, you do the business, I'd be surprised if it happens, he is the only arrival.
I expect Tarky or Gibson to leave in the next 8 months, so we need to get ahead now so we arent getting our fingers burnt trying to find last minute or panic replacements.
Be delighted if he signs.
I like seeing a plan being put in place, you can at least see the direction with this type of signing.
It'll be a busy week for us, with around 4/5 transfers in and out.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Transfer activity can be as secret as it wants but the facts are our last true (Jay Rod hardly been starting) first 11 signing was 2.5 years ago so I don’t hold my breath.

4/5 transfers in and out this week ?
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Wow were that true that is one every 2 days until a week Friday and we already have a squad of 21 (22 if we include Dunne) so we must be losing at least one

Been on sky news, we’ve turned down loan offers for Ben Gibson from Fulham Huddersfield and Middlesbrough. Won’t let him go out till we get somebody in!

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Surely if we are after fry ...we should be looking to sell Gibson instead of loaning ...unless as someone has pointed out its tarkowski that could be going a.in the summer
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Would Gibson be worth more in the summer if he’s been playing regular football, rather than sitting on our bench. And if Tarks does leave in summer we’d have the option of keeping him

If we do loan him out we need to do it to a team with £15million spare this summer like Fulham who may well come back up

Fulham will still have parachute payments as well as a cash chairman so it’ll make little difference if they come back up.
Frustrating that we are about 2/3 players from having a real quality squad.

At least we are keeping our movements on strengthening the top priority of Central Midfield close to our chests. I am sure we are going to come up with a real gem.

DYCHE TIGHT-LIPPED ON TRANSFERS
Burnley manager Sean Dyche has remained tight-lipped when asked about any January transfers, with Ben Gibson linked with a number of Sky Bet Championship clubs.
He said: “Every manager is linked with every player, even more so now. The growth in the media as we all know, everyone’s linked with everyone. It’s not an easy task getting money out this club and we’re linked with player for £20m, that always tickles me.
“[About Gibson] We’re not under any pressure to get rid of anyone, so if the decision comes that we need to make something then we’d certainly look but we’re not in that situation at the minute.”
There he goes again taking the **** out of the club - dont blow all you budget on players that you will never play you muppet
