Oh for an apostrophe.
Alli’s dross.
Oh for an apostrophe.
I'd tell them it's £20 million unless they deal on Brownhill. Why do we always let every other club lead us around by the nose and yet rollover whenever they want something from us?SGr wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:26 pmBoden: Wells to Bristol City likely to be done before deadline. Nothing to report with regards to Brownhill.

it may well include Brownhill, not sure why you are saying we always let every other club bla bla bla - are you basing that opinion on Boden's knowledge ??
Didn't Mike Garlick say that he'd like us to be stronger coming out of the transfer window than when we entered it ?
And who do Bristol City play next?... yep... QPR.
We don’t though.

Why ? Wells has been on loan for 1.5 seasons so difficult to suggest the squad is weakened. Yes we lost Drinkwater but he played about 60 minutes and was a poor, misjudgment of a signing.burnley007 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 7:44 pmI hope there's 2 or 3 new names here by the weekend!
There'll be uproar otherwise!

I’m quite philosophical about this January window.MACCA wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 7:53 pmNot sure which will be better, a couple of signings, or watching the fall out on here and ont Turf if theres none.
Entertainment value wise might just be no signings at all, and then we will have the 2nd wave when the accounts come out.
Could be the gift that keeps on giving right up until August at the very least.
Yet they want £20m+ for Bowen? BTW that is cheap, he’s looked excellent this year.ClaretAndJew wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 8:01 pmJust on a side note, Kamil Grosicki is going to WBA for £800,000
That's a very small figure.
More fool WBA, I'm delighted we wont be held to ransom like that for players.ClaretAndJew wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 8:01 pmJust on a side note, Kamil Grosicki is going to WBA for £800,000

May I just ask, how has our signing of Gibson been an expensive gamble that hasn’t worked out?Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:12 pmRe Podence Wolves have millions to gamble with
They spent £18 m on Traore at the time a Championship player
Hes worked out but lots of expensive gambles don't
Gibson Vydra Brady for us and Sanchez at United to name a few
We can't afford to gamble and screw up this time .This may unfortunately, result in no incoming moves again
Better player, younger, English premium, more versatile, more time left on contract assuming they activate the extension...
It would be too much for us ...ClaretAndJew wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 8:01 pmJust on a side note, Kamil Grosicki is going to WBA for £800,000

So losing Drinkwater and Wells has strengthened the squad then?SkiptonClaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 7:50 pmWhy ? Wells has been on loan for 1.5 seasons so difficult to suggest the squad is weakened. Yes we lost Drinkwater but he played about 60 minutes and was a poor, misjudgment of a signing.
Doesn’t it leave us pretty much where we’ve been since August ? In addition, fanciful to suggest that the messages coming out of the club all January have been anything over than no incoming business likely.
I don't think we can trigger his clause now, we'd have to have an offer accepted now of whatever Bristol seem reasonable. 10 million, isn't it?Cubanclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 8:40 pmIf Wells goes to Brizzle, I'd hope that at the very least we can sign a pre-contract agreement with Brownhill, then pick him up in the summer for £7m to trigger said 'get-out' clause. He might as well be playing for Bristol City than sitting on the bench for us.
At least that way we'd have the promise of a player joining us for a full pre-season, which is a rarity
Smells like fake news
Fair enough, apologies
I just watched it with my own eyes and ears pal (doesn’t mean it’s true).
