Any Clarets affected by the floods?

My heart goes out to anyone affected.

Those people in Todmorden, Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge etc really could do with help.

Do you think there is anything we, Burnley fans, could do?

There's plenty people can do.

Look on community pages of FB where flooding has occurred.

For instance as soon as it floods in Padiham, people head down to the centre to help the shops out.

The 2015 floods were much worse so people donated lots of items for the clean up. Mops, detergents, cloths and brushes etc..
We had 5 tonnes of sand donated and filled our own sand bags.

There was a shop in town very bottom of at James street opposite cross keys.

Looks like a brand new beauty place for women. Salon type.

Place was completely underwater and poor lass Looked devestated cleaning the place out with who I presume was her husband.

Signs on door saying opening soon etc.

Hopefully they managed to recover most stuff and can still open. And if they do perhaps encourage fellow clarets to go in and support what looks like a new business that has had the toughest imaginable start.

Agree with cricketfieldclarets I will go to Padiham Hebden bridge Whalley etc just because to me it feels like the right thing to do.

With hindsight they would have been better off opening up as a fishing tackle shop or selling swimwear ...inflatables etc. I can see the need for a beauty salon in Burnley though tbh.

These settlements and areas that flooded have been flooding for thousands of years every time it pours down.
It must be awful but people must expect it and dread it. Personally I couldn't live wit that threat hanging over me. I like to live up on the Tundra.
