Today's games

Post by Herts Clarets » Sun Feb 23, 2020 1:15 pm

A sign of how things have changed in just a few short weeks. Man U v Watford and Wolves v Norwich. I would have been hoping for 2 home wins and keep the teams below us the same distance at full time. Now I am hoping for 2 away wins to keep us above Wolves and only a point behind Manchester United.

How good does that sound, a point behind Manchester United....

Surprised there's no earlier game on TV. Only one on today on Sky Sports.

Do we reckon Will Hughes would be an adequate replacement for Hendrick, if he moves on and if Watford drop? Not bad at all.

I would have liked us to have taken Hughes when he was available when Watford bought him.
Just the type of player that Dyche prefers imo.

Yes but it's United, so the commetator said it didn't matter.

Seriously, it's a new one on me but he said because it was a part of his body he couldn't score with, (His arm.) it didn't matter.

I thought that was Wenger's new idea, not the exoisting rule?

I’d need to see it again. They only showed it in real time for some United type reason

Offside has always ignored arms.

If you think our league is bad with decisions, VAR etc take a look at the Fenerbahce v Galatasaray game that kicked off at 4. The home side got a penalty for an absolutely brilliant tackle.....

I was speaking to a Galatasaray supporter the other night and he said something like this would happen. Corrupt officials and having to get out of the stadium in one piece is to blame I think.

I think there’s been more fouls and free kicks in half an hour than I have ever seen....
