Great read Tony and yes, the wind was terrible at times. We handled the conditions much better though. As for Dwight, he’s a wonderful talent who we all need to enjoy as long as we can. He’s destined for big things.
‘The voice to my right immediately shouted: “Penalty,”’
Sounds like he speaks a lot of sense.

Re: REPORT: Clarets claim fourth successive win against the Cherries
Did not go but saw whole match on SKY SPORTS GAME OF THE DAY. Their coverage, it has to be said, was superb.Quite a bizarre game but a great result, and highly entertaining. The skill yesterday and play particularly between Vydra, Jay, Cork, Westwood, Hendrick and particularly Mc Neil, was as good as I have seen for some time. Vydra has this amazing ability to cut inside and wrong foot defenders. He is quite cunning and seems now to have the whole of the Turf behind him.
If the inter play continues as yesterday then there is an abundance of goals to come this season. Thought Tarks, Pope and Bards were immense too yesterday. Its currently good being a claret and best of luck to the team at Newcastle

Good report, CT. As last week mental toughness was very much on show, getting us through a difficult first half and creating a foundation to go on and win the game.
Had a penalty been awarded in that first half for the Steve Cook ' handball' we couldn't recall the last time we were awarded a penalty down that end. We guessed it might have been against Derby when Jason Shackell had a very poor game for them and that is quite a while ago or has there been one more recently than that?

We were awarded one at that end in the FA cup game against Barnsley but then VAR overruled it just as Vydra was about to take itSilkyskills1 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 11:57 pmGood report, CT. Re: REPORT: Clarets claim fourth successive win against the Cherries
Someone has answered correctly with Gray v Blackburn but incredibly we've only had five pens on the Turf since then in the league although a couple in cups..Silkyskills1 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 11:57 pmHad a penalty been awarded in that first half for the Steve Cook ' handball' we couldn't recall the last time we were awarded a penalty down that end. Vokes v Rotherham
Gray v Blackburn
Barnes v Sunderland
Barnes v Southampton
Rodriguez v Bournemouth
In the same period we've had nine away from home.
All but one have been scored, the one that wasn't was Gray at Reading.

Re: REPORT: Clarets claim fourth successive win against the Cherries
The Bournemouth team stayed overnight on Friday at the Crow Wood Hotel. They had two coaches there for players and staff. They were picked up at Manchester Airport on Friday and presumably taken back to Manchester Airport after the game on Saturday. The coaches would then return empty to Bournemouth (probably with the kit etc.)

Solanke does have a goal for Bournemouth, he scored against Luton in the FA Cup third round.

Which is equivalent to the way Burnley FC travelled to Bournemouth this season and last season (and possibly before that but I don't know). Fly down, stay a local hotel whilst the team coach drives all the way down with the kit just so it can deliver them to the stadium and pick them up afterwards. The backroom team don't fly down, I thinkMT03ALG wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 11:37 amThe Bournemouth team stayed overnight on Friday at the Crow Wood Hotel. Was that for their fans or playing staff Tony ?
