2019/20: Manchester City v Burnley - Ticket Information
Re: 2019/20: Manchester City v Burnley - Ticket Information
We don't need to scrap or reset the points system it work's. I've got plenty of points to buy a ticket the day they first come out, but my son has around 3800 so I've got to wait until they drop to 2000 points and for the Newcastle game we missed out because we buy together and I have to wait. It's hard luck if you don't have the points like my son does.
It's not the points system that's wrong it's the amount of tickets the club apply for, they at time's get it so wrong they can't work out game's like Newcastle would sell out but Man city away at 3k will struggle.

We should re set them but don’t do it with points earned in the championship or lower it’s easy for people to turn up in the premier league

Any chance the City game could be called off for coronavirus fears after today’s news around Burnley

You’re obviously not a super fan and therefore aren’t worthy of listening to!ClaretMov wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 8:37 pmJesus christ some people just don't get it do they
I've been to Man City plenty of times and seen us 99% of that time get stuffed
I've never been to Newcastle because we've not played them for 40+ year's on a weekend and my job does not allow time off midweek
I certainly won't be going to City to see us lose 5 or 6 nil again because it's now lost it's appeal to me even with it being a game about 25 miles away.
One is not the same draw as the other to me
Re: 2019/20: Manchester City v Burnley - Ticket Information
On General Sale at 9.15am Friday morning. Maximum of 4 tickets per Clarets number.

I thought we’d sell this out regardless of amount of times having played them etc etc.
We could be in the hunt for Europe if we carry on and City is one where we can get something at Etihad especially with them playing Real Madrid four days later.

From some of the comments on here (not yours 1989) it does seem that some people are more interested in ground ticking than going to support their team. That's their choice but they'll regret it when we come back with the 3 points!

Another couple of wins and there will be a surge for tickets.
Re: 2019/20: Manchester City v Burnley - Ticket Information
Another decent result tomorrow will twist a few people's arms. If sales are slow though the club may be tempted to send the upper tier tickets back.

Tickets were delivered this morning. We are on row P in the middle tier, so I’m guessing that means bottom tier is sold out?
Re: 2019/20: Manchester City v Burnley - Ticket Information
Yeah, they usually start with the lower tier and work back.Asbury Park wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 10:26 amTickets were delivered this morning. We are on row P in the middle tier, so I’m guessing that means bottom tier is sold out?

City wouldn't sell them, so I can't see them accepting tickets back when we have to pay for them.
General sale could shift a few with part timers who would like the day out. Few beers in Manchester etc..

Re: 2019/20: Manchester City v Burnley - Ticket Information
The biggest flaw in the system..and one that may well affect our future fanbase is that how on earth does a child get a ticket for a very in demand game?
I have over 8000 but my daughter has only just started coming on with me..this prevents me from going to away games with her unless i wait for general sale. I am sure there are other parents and families with the same issue. This current system only suits the older long term supporter..not the future fans.

Spoke to the ticket office with a query over my tickets. Selling slowly apparently. Disappointing if we can’t get 3,000 to City on a Saturday!

Well hope to see no more complaints from fans about the club taking low allocations if we can’t get more than 2000 to City!

Why would they send them back already ? The game is not until 14 March. I suppose the club could have decided that ticket sales were not going so well....

Ticket sales recently have been strange to say the least.
1500 for Man City for a 3pm kick off seems a very low number?

Re: 2019/20: Manchester City v Burnley - Ticket Information
The original article says 3000, so was it 1500 or 3000?
Re: 2019/20: Manchester City v Burnley - Ticket Information
Think people are just sick of seeing us get walloped there. And it's not a particularly enjoyable ground to visit, even more so since they split the away end over 3 tiers.

Re: 2019/20: Manchester City v Burnley - Ticket Information
It was 3000, but we had the option to send back the upper tiers by a certain date depending on sales.
obviously sales have been poor so the club have sent back the 1500 or else they would have had to pay for any unsold.
time for people to stop criticising the ticket office for ticket allocations me thinks.
Re: 2019/20: Manchester City v Burnley - Ticket Information
A little unfair. It's not cheap and not everyone can afford it.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 1:04 pmWe sent 1500 back, says as much on the club website.
Absolutely pathetic from our fans again.

Does it say 1500 gone back anywhere?
Makes more sense 1k a tier, so 2k been sold.

We just haven't got a big away support anymore.
Re: 2019/20: Manchester City v Burnley - Ticket Information
The middle tier is a lot smaller, so 1500 for the lower and middle sounds about right. The sort of following we regularly used to mock our friends down the road for in their Premier league days.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 1:54 pmDoes it say 1500 gone back anywhere?

Re: 2019/20: Manchester City v Burnley - Ticket Information
Yeah I saw that, think eventually the club will just start taking half allocation for all games. Not sure the club should be expected to see how the few results of the few previous games have gone, are we are likely to win and do the cherry pickers have this game down on their list.
I wouldn't blame them either it is hardly worth the effort
