Spurs tonight

Post by Tricky Trevor » Wed Mar 04, 2020 9:39 pm

Look very lightweight. MF of Skipp, Lo Celso & Winks, look like ballboys.
No CF either. Subbed Moura & Bergwijn off early second half and it’s gone to ET.
They’ve CL second leg next week so it could be an interesting side he picks come Saturday.

They'll roll Kane out in a wheel chair Saturday and he'll still score against us (probably at least 2!!)

they’re currently 10 mins into extra-time drawing one-all against the bottom side in the prem (that’s the team that knocked us out in the 4th round)

Hoping this match will be a negative for them when they play Saturday evening!

I would imagine it’ll be their strongest side possible on Saturday.
The Premier League will be their best chance of getting in the Champions League again.

Norwich win 2 - 3 on penalties.
Thought keeper wasn’t allowed to be forward of goal line!

Norwich now play Derby or Man Utd in quarter-final

Spurs have lost their last 4 games now.

Will be falling out in lumpsin the dressing room. Mourinho will blame anything that moves.

They only made three changes from the side that lost against Wolves at the weekend, so the players'll be in tomorrow for assessment, travel up Friday and play Saturday .... they've lost their last two League games and if, and it's a big IF, we were to win, we go above them in the table ...

Tonight will have been a blow for them, surely they'd have expected to go through, going out on penalties will also have hurt, especially with the probability of a home qf against Man Utd,i didn't realise they also had the CL next week, this should be a good time to play them, even more so given their absentees.

In contrast we'll have had a full week to train and prepare, that has to be an advantage,we have to ensure we make it count come Saturday.

Never been so sure a penalty taker wouldn’t score as that young lad. Looked very nervous. He’ll bounce back from it though but hopefully not on Saturday. Much better for us it went to extra time and pens. We need to be on our game on Saturday though.

Pathetic from Dier. Disgusting. He should be banned for the rest of the season.

Mourinho certainly nailed it when he said, "I think Eric did what we professionals cannot do but probably every one of us would do."

Except he did.

To be honest if it was a supporter running onto the pitch he would be banned for life and facing a custodial sentence. Dier is an England international and he needs to be punished. He should know better.

He should be suspended immediately, pending the inevitable FA charge and enquiry .....

Irish Rugby forward Trevor Brennan, playing for Toulouse did the same when being goaded by an Ulster fan, in 2007. He was banned for life, but had already retired by the time the ban was announced. The cause of his " losing it " ? The Ulster fan was shouting that Brennan served watered down beer in the Irish Pub he owned in Toulouse !!
