The people slating Dier are probably the ones who thought Barton was to blame when a bottle hit him.

Utter, utter, utter nonsense.Top Claret wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2020 10:26 amDier is a numpty and should be given an hefty fine and ban. We can't have players jumping into the stands to have a barny with the fans, total unprofessionalism.
Brother Dier should also be banned from the stadium. He gets complimentary tickets for every game, which no doubt come with an hospitality package. He should keep his mouth shut and not get involved with supporters who spend thousands watch their team

Re: Eric Dier
The stadium is full of security people and if he has a concern he should bring it immediately to their attention .
If he isn't punished it's an invite for all and sundry to wade in to protect their hairdresser, personal stylist etc.

Orfe with his head.
Re: Eric Dier
For me it is quite straightforward. It has been made clear to fans that we must never encroach on the playing area. If we do, there are a whole range of sanctions that can be thrown at us, depending on the severity of that encroachment. Similarly the players are paid incredible amounts of money to do their entertaining on the green stuff. They should not encroach into the stands unless officially invited to do so (collecting an award etc) and if they do they should have the same level of sanctions thrown at them. We have an abundance of security staff at PL Stadia they are the ones to approach if you have an issue. Simples.

Yesterday I asked what the racist comment was, I've yet to find out, any clues?

Still no ban then?
The FA need to hang their heads in shame if this guy plays tomorrow.

Re: Eric Dier
Shouldn't be anywhere near a football stadium until the start of next at the earliest. Disgraceful from The FA.

Re: Eric Dier
If nothing else he has blown the idea that 'Player safety is paramount' by recklessly entering a non playing area. Players often get booked for celebrating with their own fans especially if they embrace the crowd. His intentions were far from celebratory.
I reckon Jose would have condemned a player from another Club.

Re: Eric Dier
You clearly cannot have players running in to the stands confronting fans.
It's putting too many people in danger.
If it was a Burnley player he would have been hung, drawn & quartered by now!

Re: Eric Dier
I feel that a sensible response from the FA would have been a retrospective red card to discourage other players from behaving in a similar fashion.
If he does play tomorrow then I hope he wears a mask.......................to stop him from biting anyone near the touchline

Re: Eric Dier
I can't believe that Dier has not faced some kind of disciplinary action from the Fa or an investigation from the Met police.
If you or I had have invaded the pitch and grabbed hold of a player, we would have spent the night in the slammer with a possible custodial sentance to follow.

I read the met police have looked into it, but with no one from the club, or fans or involved making an official complaint there is nothing to answer as far as police are concerned.Top Claret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 10:24 amI can't believe that Dier has not faced some kind of disciplinary action from the Fa or an investigation from the Met police.

Well if that is the case then I am flabagasted. Not that no one has made a complaint, that the police have not prosecuted Dier.elwaclaret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 11:30 amI read the met police have looked into it, but with no one from the club, or fans or involved making an official complaint there is nothing to answer as far as police are concerned.
If every footballer in the country jumped into the crowd every time he heard a supporter criticising him, the game would never finish

Understaffed and underresourced. But the public want another showbiz trial by media. For what?

Re: Eric Dier
He probably would play against us anyway. But even if not Mourinho would have after other night. Siege mentality and us against the world. Good management from him. Win and its a masterstroke. Lose and too much pressure on him.
