Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Tottering Rotspurs
Well, despite Moss's efforts, we get a point.
Could have been 3.
Cheers all.

Quality performance, marred only by a penalty and some of the worst officiating you'll see.

I feel cheated. Theirs was a pen, but so was the push on Wood. We destroyed them first half, should have put them to bed when clearly on top

Should have had a pen though, I thought we were excellent today.

Well we bossed the first half but Spuds were much better second half.
Great effort by the lads but still feels like we should have won that.
Got to be happy with that showing though, dead proud

Deserved to win, Wood very good, Vydra good when he came on, Tarkowski very good, McNeil outstanding. Feel disappointed today that we didn't get three points. Moss is ferkin useless.

As improved as Spurs were second half, how many saves did Pope have to make? Many of their passages of play came simply from us being open because, to our credit, we were still pushing for a winner.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Tottering Rotspurs
If youd told me after that chelsea game we'd go 7 unbeaten with leicester, utd, arsenal and spurs in there id have wanted you sectioning.
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Tottering Rotspurs
Agreed, it was chalk and cheese first half to second half. Smelt like Olympiakos away last season, someone “threatening” the officials is how that looked
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Tottering Rotspurs
McNeil's stamina has gone up massively too, bloke was out there spinning their players in the 91st minute. What a player he is.

Oh! well keeps the unbeaten run going 7 now,and with better finishing we'd have garnered the 3 points.
Good to see Wood back on the scoresheet again, that'll do him the world of good.
We paid for not putting this game to bed 1st half, they were bound to come out a different beast after Jose's half-time team talk, and they did,but it took a spot-kick for them to rescue a point ultimately.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Tottering Rotspurs
Although we were much better first half, we still had our chances to make it 2-0 in the second.
I also could see Wood & Vydra doing very well together as a partnership.

1 man made such a difference at half time.
Moss must have had a bribe at the interval, I can't explain it any other way.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Tottering Rotspurs
I see Maureen has had a post-match meltdown, and he's going off on one at Ndombele.
Jose Mourinho speaking to Sky Sports about Tanguy Ndombele, who was substituted at half-time: "I hope he uses every minute on the pitch and every minute knowing what the Premier League is to improve. Many fantastic players in their first season in a new country for different reasons they struggle. There have been many examples of that. He’s a player with great talent. He has to know he has to do much better and know I cannot keep giving him opportunities to play because the team is much more important."
More from Jose Mourinho, speaking to Sky Sports, on the reasons behind his double substitution at half-time: "The quality of Lucas Moura and Giovani Lo Celso made a difference in the second half. I want to say but cannot say. We had something in the first half, not in the second.
"In the second we improved a lot. I think fatigue, Lucas and Lo Celso, Alli and Bergwijn had fatigue - they gave what you saw.
"I was expecting players not tired to give more to the team. Somebody has to realise this is the Premier League. It's a new experience, a first time at Burnley. Hopefully next season he (Tanguy Ndombele) can be fantastic."
"I must work to try to improve the team, but coaches need players to cooperate in that work on their evolution and development."
When Jose Mourinho says 'I am not going to hide', you can expect something brutal.
He started by saying Tottenham 'didn't have a midfield' in the first-half. He then said he was not being critical of Oliver Skipp in any way.
So.
"Tanguy has had enough time to come to a different level," said Mourinho.
"He has to give us more than he is giving us."
I thought the new Jose was going to be chilled out, that didn't last long did it.
