In it now. Wainwright and Doom Bar on hand pull. Smells of paint. Still busy. Large “beer garden” out front. Hope they have a bottle bar tomorrow as I can see it being carnage pre match.

Doesn't surprise me on a launch night or when recently opened for the place to be jammer's, people will be sussing the joint out, for some it's a novelty, the crux being the repeat custom & a sustainable business model into the future.

Re: Park View
Had a few beers last night. They've done a decent job, I think there will be a bottle bar outside near the bookies maybe?
Toilet near the door looks the same with an added cubicle but my memory might be playing up but they've added a mens toilet in the back corner. Can someone confirm that wasn't there before--needed when the place is rammed.
Still a couple in at 1am when the bouncer cleared the pub. Never thought they'd get it open on time--good effort

Got to the Park View at 4pm and they stopped letting people inside so we went to the outside bar but moved about 3ft in 15 mins so left and went to the fan zone.

Outside bar sells draft beer. Should make it bottles only, or open a bottle only kiosk as well.

Wainwright’s and Doom Bar... Not the best selection of draft ales. Doom Bar is bloody horrible stuff.
I didn’t go in but was impressed by how it looked from the outside. Hopefully they do well - some Camden Pale, Saltaire Blonde or Moorhouses please!!

Re: Park View
Heathen, Doom Bar is a fantastic ale. That said not sure how well it travels, only ever sampled in Cornwall
Re: Park View
I am pleased to report that the chippy was open and the fish and chips were delicious!
Re: Park View
The pub was absolutely packed before the game yesterday. A lot of that will be down to the novelty factor of it being back open, should be reyt in a few weeks once it settles down. Great to see it back open.

Re: Park View
Would have been better that what was on offer DCWat.
It's predominately lagers on offer, only John Smith's in beer.
Had A Guinness, wasn't the best so went to dark fruits.
Such a shame for me as I'm sick of the music from 2br blaring out over the commentary on the BIG screen at the Fanzone, thought Park view, decent beers and Sky sports would be a winning combination for my trade on match day, only to find poor selection of ale and music playing out of the speakers over the Sky football on tv. gutted

That's good to know. We were planning on calling in before the Watford game, but if that's the extent of their ale, then I can't see any of us wanting to bother.Barry_Chuckle wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 1:55 pmIt's predominately lagers on offer, only John Smith's in beer.

If they do, they need to train their staff as I asked what beers they had on, the staff member rhymed off loads of lagers, I pointed out I'd asked what beers not lagers and was told only John Smith's but we do have Guinness.

Wainwrights and Doom Bar on hand pull. Only inside the pub. As you walk through the main entrance both pumps next to each other on the bar to the right hand side.Barry_Chuckle wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 3:30 pmYou saying they do Wainwrights in Park View?
