Olympiakos to play behind closed doors.
Olympiakos to play behind closed doors.
Looks like the 1000 Wolves fans with tickets for and travel booked won't be allowed into Athens....

Damn shame for any fan to pay those fortunes and not get a match.

Don't think any decision has been made yet but it is looking increasingly likely that it will be behind closed doors
Re: Olympiakos to play behind closed doors.
Be nice to see the Olympiakos management and staff be forced to watch behind closed doors. I much prefer fairly contested matches.

I'd think an empty stadium there would benefit Wolves slightly. Twelfth man and all that. Their lot are quite intimidating at home.

Daft decision, can't have footy without a crowd. Better to call an end to the season, award us the title and relegate Brighton imho

Fans who booked to travel with Sport Options (who I've used many times to get to England games) are receiving full refunds for their trip.

According to Britain's Deptuty Chief Medical Officer, cancelling fixtures is a bit pointless.
Clearly, she knows better than most of us and she says viruses don't live long outside.
So maybe we'll see the end of the football season and lots of little clubs won't have to go out of business?

Nighty - you can have the sea view next time.
I’m sure the Wolves fans ( if they could travel)
wouldn’t see as much of Athens as we did!!

Re: Olympiakos to play behind closed doors.
IDK if this has been mentioned elsewhere but i kind of agree with Pep in principle, the problem is when do you reschedule the games for if they are postponed, bearing in mind both the Euro's and the Olympics are set to take place this summer.

I agree with some of the previous comments that this should advantage Wolves, but it's hardly ideal for them to play in an empty stadium.

Re: Olympiakos to play behind closed doors.
What I dont understand is why the game is going ahead at all if the owner has it - especially after the Man City vs Arsenal game is now postponed because some Arsenal players shook his hand. Is anyone going to suggest that the owner of the club doesn't interact with his own players?
