About turn on club shop

Post by ClaretTony » Sun Mar 29, 2020 4:32 pm

Last week, Burnley Football Club issued a statement as follows:

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus COVID-19 threat Burnley Football Club has made the decision to close all supporter facing departments including the ticket office, Clarets Stores at Turf Moor and Charter Walk and online, reception, catering rooms, and administration offices from Friday 20th March until further notice. This is in line with guidance and advice from both the Government and the football authorities.

That hasn't lasted long. Today they are advertising again with news that the online shop is open.

I did wonder why the online shop closed. Perhaps they needed a week to get it to function under the new guidelines.

A number of others have gone the other way - Next for one, remained open online but have now closed. If they can do it safely then there should be no problem.

I think it is a good idea, we need some normality no matter how small it all helps.

The black hoodie with the red badge and sleeve pocket trim is a damn good buy at half-price, £20 with free postage.
Got mine a while a go, I don't usually buy much from the club shop but this is a good deal.

Looking at the link below, it would appear that Arsenal are fed up with being pussies away from home, and want to look like us. Their 2020/1 away kit is inevitably going to generate calls of "are you Burnley in disguise". I rather like it (except for the badge). Socks are great.

A clever photo-shoot, too.
Not a bad kit, tbf.

What is the purpose of a purchase, when there are no matches with crowd attendance, in the foreseeable?

"Cloud white"? A very light grey? Presumably designed to look like it's been washed a few times, but not in Persil automatic.
