Crowd Noise
Just watching Australian rugby league and they’ve added crowd noise. I imagined it would be terrible but it’s not actually that bad.
I wonder if it’s going to be used in our matches- does anyone know??

Re: Crowd Noise
It needs to be.
The media team should have a basic crowd noise with Burnley songs played every so often. Huge cheers when we score.
Try and make it home advantage as best we can.

Don't know if this would work at the turf but it's a novel concept from Denmark https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52843806

Few of us have talked about "watching" the games together via zoomtiger76 wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 12:21 pmDon't know if this would work at the turf but it's a novel concept from Denmark https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52843806
Re: Crowd Noise
With all the moaning and groaning they do, if they played the crowd noise from the Bob Lord a neutral might think the camera man was watching a porno.

Re: Crowd Noise
How surreal do you want it to be? Playing in an empty stadium is bad enough but adding fake crowd noises won't make it any better. Perhaps announcing ongoing scores of other games if they are going against the opposition might be funny especially in a Fred Elliott style.

Re: Crowd Noise
Im dead against playing crowd noise at Turf Moor. I know its unprecedented circumstances but we should at least try to keep the experience as close to normal as possible if only to not confuse our players

Re: Crowd Noise
Fake crowd noise is worse than no noise imo.
It’s only a short term thing. So just make of it what it is. Listening to the players may be interesting anyway.

Please no.
The noise and mayhem when Ashley Barnes scored the late winner against Palace will forever be up there with the best.

I've been thinking the same, we need to screw every bit of advantage we can.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 11:55 amIt needs to be.

Re: Crowd Noise
The crowed noise on the rugby league here is quite good. But the don’t have chanting at games so is easier. The sound guy is increasing the sound when a try is scored.
Regarding Burnley songs on a loop. They’d have to get them at 33rpm and play them at 45rpm for a realistic Turf Moor crowd!!

Re: Crowd Noise
I've always thought football is more exciting when a soundtrack is added to it,maybe play Pink Floyd's "Echoes" or Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bell's"as a backdrop too the game anything is better than a hollow sounding empty stadium.

Is the noise just on tv or is it played in the ground as well?RammyClaret61 wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 7:11 amThe crowed noise on the rugby league here is quite good. But the don’t have chanting at games so is easier. The sound guy is increasing the sound when a try is scored.

My sentiments as well if I watch any games it will be with the volume down with some atmospheric ambient music or some heavy dub

Re: Crowd Noise
I think it’s just on the tv. It’s not chanting or anything like that. More like a gentle hum in the background like you normally get then raised a bit louder like Rammy says when a try is scored. It’s on Sky now if you’ve got it.Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 8:39 amIs the noise just on tv or is it played in the ground as well?

Seems to be a split in people who want it or not, was just wondering if it was a possibility for viewers to have the choice, a bit like where the BBC let you have the choice of the normal Commentators or the Five Live ones.

When I googled it, it says it’s an option for Bundesliga viewers, but I didn’t think BT Sport were offering it unless it was just online.
