Re: Sky Q
It may well be. New customers often get better deals than the customers they already have.

Re: Sky Q
Cancel Sky if you're out of contract. They'll treat you as a new customer by the start of next season and you can take advantage of the deals they are offered.

Re: Sky Q
If you are a VIP Reward member and take out a multiscreen subscription, depending on how long you have been with Sky may mean you can get a highly discounted installation of a Q box...

Re: Sky Q
18 months since I switched to the Q but sure it cost very little at the time. Ring them up and do the usual cancellation game. I've never paid more than £68 for full package including Sports, Films, multi room (Q), HD etc.

Re: Sky Q
I used to find their online chat facility was the best way to contact them.
Re: Sky Q
I've been with sky since almost the start, so iam at the top of their vip rewards
I've always found the live chat function within the mysky app useful
They've always reduced the price when I've asked ( every 18 months or so) iam currently paying less than £60 for the full Q package with one mini box.
I think that's better than phoning, plus you have a record of what's been said.

Re: Sky Q
I’ve got it in 3 rooms and it’s currently costing £40 a month.
If you do go for it, and you have a 4K TV, make sure you ask for the box that transmits in 4K as they issue the non 4K ones as standard.

Re: Sky Q
I've got the full package with Sky Q and that includes Netflix. Have two boxes and when the sport is back it will be costing me around £60 per month.

Can you ring me then! Seriously, the message I get is as I’ve said and it just hangs up. I’ll try another route instead of asking to upgrade.

Re: Sky Q
I'll put it into context, when someone calls to upgrade to Q we ask about their viewing habits etc tpo ensure they get the right box for them. Invariably they will get the UHD box in either 1TB or 2TB....that depends usually on whether they intend to use M/S and how many boxes they are looking at having additionally.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Sun May 31, 2020 11:05 amWhatever pal. Re: Sky Q
Not me. So perhaps some training needs undertaking. I only realised I had a HD only box when I tried to broadcast in 4K, I had to ring up for a swap.ClaretDiver wrote: ↑Sun May 31, 2020 11:07 amI'll put it into context, when someone calls to upgrade to Q we ask about their viewing habits etc tpo ensure they get the right box for them. Re: Sky Q
How do I go about getting a third box ClaretDiver? I thought you would be able to order online but it seems not. Also what is the cost?ClaretDiver wrote: ↑Sun May 31, 2020 11:07 amI'll put it into context, when someone calls to upgrade to Q we ask about their viewing habits etc tpo ensure they get the right box for them. Weird that you can't order it online, give the call centre a bell and they can order one for you, they are 50 quid

Riley, just had a word with my manager, he thoinks the reason is due to Covid and not being able to send engineers at the moment. If you get through and order one ask for self install, they will send it out and you can install it yourself

We got Sky Q for free when we threatened to leave. They’re usually desperate to keep customers. Of in the unlikely event they don’t, you can always have a last minute change of heart.
