Magnificent
Threadbare squad, new formation, huge miles on the clock over the last three games, loss of Cork in the second half and a win. A truly a courageous and committed performance under pressure. Super proud of the players and the playing staff.

Cork’s injury was the only negative.

What a battle.
Gritty performance by the Super Clarets to take the 3 points.
Another clean sheet. Away win at Palace. Great night.

Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Why do you assume the current unrest with Sean is anything to do with Mike Rigg? It isn't.
His problem is with Mike Garlick and Mike Rigg will be doing exactly what he was brought into do and identify both new players and new managers should our current one leave. It's called succession planning and all Premier League clubs do it should the worst happen.

Glad we found our form in the second half, all that accurate passing and possession in the first half was unnerving me.

You'll be lucky they missed out on Europe, there's always the glamour of Motherwell to look forward to.

"In the 100 days since the start of lockdown the dynamic of the club has changed" There it is right there, he doesn't have the final say on things like he has for the past 7yrs +

Poor Matej Vydra. It's not often a CF has to do all that chasing for 95 minutes. He did well .

Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Mike Rigg might have found loads of players, you just don't know. It's not him that decides if they sign on, it's Garlick and Dyche.ksrclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 9:55 pmBeautiful passing moves in the first half and an astonishingly resolute defensive performance in the second half. What a perfect away win. All with 7 injuries and 3 left out of contract.
Mike Rigg. Kindly do one, you have no business upsetting this apple cart.
Anyway, there's a lot of talk about looking at more European players because of Rigg. Maybe they will arrive in the summer?
What you don't seem to realise is that we're short of players because of injuries, not because of Mike Rigg.
We are also in the unprecedented situation of Covid-19 which no one could have forecast.
As it is, we've lost one decent player in Hendrick but he's been replaced by Brownhill and after tonight's performance, that's no bad thing.

he was on the edge of our box chasing their player into the corner with 20 seconds to go - superbboatshed bill wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 10:20 pmPoor Matej Vydra. It's not often a CF has to do all that chasing for 95 minutes. He did well .

Not my take at all. I think he means that all clubs are in an uncertain situation, and planning is not as easy as it was. That's all.

Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
When you see Vydra running around like that for 90+ minutes who isn’t supposed to be that hard working you know that he has bought into the team along with the rest.
They must be knackered we have made is it 5 subs in 3 games? Most of the other teams have done that by 70 minutes.

Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Just a reference to what I've read online and on this board in the last couple of days where the suggestions are that Sean Dyche is unhappy with the influence Rigg has taken, which has presumably resulted in Dyche having less influence. Other suggestions are that Garlick backs Rigg.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 10:35 pmSo what does "Mike Rigg. Kindly do one, you have no business upsetting this apple cart." mean?
If any of that is true, which you'd assume it is based on the source of information, then it's crazy to think that Garlick would choose to back Rigg over Dyche. Hence my intimation that Rigg has upset the apple cart.
Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
You could also take that as meaning players contracts running out before season endsaclaretinstevenage wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 10:20 pm"In the 100 days since the start of lockdown the dynamic of the club has changed" There it is right there, he doesn't have the final say on things like he has for the past 7yrs +

Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
So you are making a judgement based on heresay? Fair enough. I prefer facts and as yet no one knows what the problems have been and no one knows if Rigg is even involved.ksrclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 10:40 pmJust a reference to what I've read online and on this board in the last couple of days where the suggestions are that Sean Dyche is unhappy with the influence Rigg has taken, which has presumably resulted in Dyche having less influence. Hmm. Says the poster who believes everything is "resolved" because Bardsley signed a new deal. That seems like a judgement on heresay to me rather than a fact.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 10:49 pmSo you are making a judgement based on heresay? Fair enough.
