Transfer fees

Post by Vegas Claret » Wed Jul 01, 2020 12:41 am

I was hoping they would come down, this is only paper talk but **** me, the lad has never even kicked a ball in the PL !!

"Liverpool have been told Ben White will cost more than £35m should the Anfield club decide to make a move for the Brighton centre-back this summer.

Football Insider claims Liverpool are among a number of Premier League clubs in the 22-year-old defender, with the likes of Arsenal, Man United, Man City and Leicester City all monitoring White ahead of the opening of the summer window.

White has excelled on loan at Leeds United this season, playing every minute of the club’s English Championship campaign, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side currently top of the table and on course to win promotion.

It has been reported that White’s parent club Brighton have communicated to interested clubs through third parties that they want at least £35m for the player who started his youth career at Southampton."

A mate, who is a Leeds fan, raves about him.

It is silly money though.

When they know they know. Like us with Trevor Steven, Gary Cahill and to a lesser extent JRod.

I’ve no problem with that, it’s a smaller club like ours saying ‘look if you want to take our best players you can’t pay the daft money we know you can afford’ to the big boys

Isn't he a centre half ?

If so and Brighton rate him at 35m why not play him next season instead of that cart horse Duffy ( hope his dad doesn't read this)

This is what will happen. Wealthy club takes an interest in a player at another Premier League club who are not quite so wealthy and have been hit hard financially during the lock down.
