Parking at Towneley

Post by ChrisG » Wed Jul 01, 2020 1:42 pm

Does anyone know if the car parks at Towneley are cash only, or can you pay by phone to park?

It's been years since I've been.

You can usually park for free on Todmorden Road near the golf course entrance if it helps.

If you are going into the park it's also a nice walk down from there

Yes, idea is to head into the park for a walk round so that sounds spot on.

Absolutely perfect then - there's a long parking strip that runs from the end of Rock Lane to the old bus turning circle

I presume parking fees help with park maintenance?

Always best to make a donation if you can.

The council said it was the Phantom Car Park Locker-upper. He's now married to the White Lady of Towneley Hall.

When I plan a trip to Towneley I park in Barley preferably near someones drive so I know it will be looked after, then get a taxi to Towneley. Dont rely on the bus though full of selfish bl00dy locals.
