Posted earlier on another thread about the drinks break.
SD sorted them out in that one. Dire before, excellent after. The difference, we got it down and passed it about. Well done Sean.

We have got better the longer it went and they looked to tire. Long looks rusty which is not surprising Sheffield looked excellent early but faded as we came into the game

The stars on the BBC are quite interesting, we have had more possession
The way possession is calculated doesn't always make sense like you think it would.
It's based on passes more than how often, or how long you have ball.
Interesting read if you have the time: http://leastthing.blogspot.com/2012/02/ ... n.html?m=1

Well i said offside as soon as Tarks put the ball in the back of the net then the replay ................. Maybe and it was . We have so far got out of jail as United were the better side .
Now see what the 2nd half has to give as this game is far from over .

Debating the Pieters handball on Sky. Saying they think pen.

However, it touches Pieters leg on the way to his armpit, so surely, that does not count, under their rules?

I hope, if we can keep the lead until the hour mark, that we swap Pieters for Brady or JBG, and get Dwight on the left wing, where he belongs. Eric's done nothing wrong but we need to be more pro active to tale the sting out of them.

That said, would SD use a sub before the 85th minute.

Possession 50/50. Shots on target 3-1 so not exactly against the run of play. Stats from BBC

And we've made more passes! And their keeper has had to make 1 more save than Pope.

HT analysis for all their possession and chances, we've had 3 efforts on target to their 1, and of course we've scored the all important goal, big 45 minutes, see this one out, and we've got a great chance of Europe, Long's done well considering it's his first start for some while, and crucially Dwight's coming more into the game.

they would wouldn't they .... the rules mean nowt to them where Burnley is concerned ... am surprised they aren't trying to say our goal was offside even though VAR proved it wasn't 😁

Tarks had an on target trickler earlier in the half that Henderson picked up.
They make their rules up as they go.

Never understood why that's not given. If a defender has no attempt to play the ball how is it not obstruction when the attacker gets blocked?

This isn't American Football...

Precisely how Worrall gave Derby their equaliser yesterday. It’s whether the ball is playable or not but on far too many occasions the ball is miles away but the ref doesn’t give the obstruction.
