Da Yoof

Post by Darthlaw » Mon Feb 24, 2020 2:16 pm

McNeil's prominence had me thinking. Have we seen our first Burnley player yet born in this century?

He seems closest at 22/11/99.

Answers on a postcard.

Most of the youth team I would have thought. Can't name them though.

Had to dig this up but we passed the landmark with Max Thompson coming on V Citeh.

Odd that there is a big gap in age between McNeill and Thompson there with no more appearances.

He was born AFTER the game we lost 5-1 at City when Glen Little missed the penalty. That feels like yesterday. Which is frightening to say he was born after that.

I felt old when Howe became manager, he’s seven months younger than me. So all in all, a couple of reasons for being pleased when he left.
