Osyai-Samuel 4.7m bid accepted
From Belgium champion Club Brugge.
If we are really interested then we should be in at that price.

Is the guy any good? Must confess to not really knowing much about him, other than he's a winger

And quite often it is one click bait source with all the other click bait sites joining in. I'm not saying it is with this player but so much of the links are now just downright nonsense.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 5:04 pmWe have been linked for quite a while by different sources.

There will be plenty of those. I can pretty much guarantee that 95% of Premier League signings this window will be made by clubs other than Burnley. And every single one of them (at least until they start playing) will be "an example of our scouting going awry".Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 5:10 pmAbsolute bargain another example of our scouting going array

Come on FFS, the title clearly is suggesting, whether it's clickbait purposely or not, that we've made a bid and it's been accepted.

I agree. 99% is click bait but with him not being the star player at QPR and less of a story as such It's more believable. Eze would of got more clicks.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 5:10 pmAnd quite often it is one click bait source with all the other click bait sites joining in. I've never once seen this guy play but I've heard so many people saying we should be signing him. What is it about this player that whets everyone's appetite for his signature?

Re: Osyai-Samuel 4.7m bid accepted
This is exactly the type of player we should be trying to sign.
Young player with plenty of potential. The one thing that really excites me about him is his pace and directness, would be something really different to what we have had over previous years.
Hopefully we bid for him given we know what will be accepted.

He has a year left on his contract. Plus reduced fees due to corona.

If he's as good as he looks in the video, it's still cheap. Thing is though, we already have pretty decent left winger.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 5:46 pmHe has a year left on his contract. Plus reduced fees due to corona.

Re: Osyai-Samuel 4.7m bid accepted
Let’s face it, none of us have seen enough of him to know whether he can cut it at our level. So if the club isn’t interested in a player at such a low value then there’s probably a reason.

He can play on the right as well, we should be inquiring at least if he'd be interested in a move to the PL. For that money he'd be a good addition, and surely wages shouldn't be a problem.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 5:49 pmIf he's as good as he looks in the video, it's still cheap. I have watched him maybe 12-13 times this season. Eze is getting rave reviews for his goal contributions but every time I watched QPR he was one of there best players. (Saying that Nakhi was up there).
Can play right or left wing. one for the future when McNeil leaves or gudmundsson is injured

Question: How can QPR accept a bid from Brugge if the window isn't open yet? And why would they without seeing if other clubs might offer more?

Deals can be agreed between clubs and pre-contract agreements signed, then the player can be registered with the buying club once the window opens .Gordaleman wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 6:21 pmQuestion: How can QPR accept a bid from Brugge if the window isn't open yet? Bids can be accepted whenever, don't need a window open.
Accepting a bid may force other clubs to get theirs in now.

Fine, so if a bid has been accepted, why is there still speculation about where he might go? Surely it would be disingenuous if QPR than accepted a higher bid from elsewhere?GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 6:29 pmIs that a serious question about accepting a bid?

Of course, but I would have thought that QPR would ask the player if he wanted to go to Brugge BEFORE accepting the bid.
Time we did away with windows and go back to the good old days when clubs could buy players any time of the year.

Does he look like he can cut it? Only seen snippets of QPR this season but him and Eze look pretty raw - which could pay dividends but aren’t exactly the kind of signings you would associate with Burnley.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 6:39 pmHey Riley,

Re: Osyai-Samuel 4.7m bid accepted
BOS is very direct and has pretty good feet, he could probably do with improving his decision making in terms of when to release the ball rather than keeping on stuck at his feet and being crowded out.
At the price stated I think if the rumours were actually true that we were interested, then we would have matched that already for a player with a lot of potential and resale value.
Also the Qpr fans are not happy with this so called £4.7m price tag, regardless of him only having a year left on his contract . The majority saying it should be more like £8-£10m

From what I have seen he has the potential to be a really good player at our level. Similar to Brownhill would need a bedding in period and getting used to playing with (much) better players.
If he can work on his final ball and descision making he will be a really good player for us.
He already has all the natural attributes, pace, power, dribbling ability
