My two refunds appeared in my account yesterday. Donation made to Clarets for Foodbanks as per donation link.
Thank you BFC.

Despite me changing my settings on my account and checking my email settings to see if they are blocked (they aren't), I'm still not receiving emails of any kind from the club. So I've no idea what's going on.

Got my refund this morning. surname begins with K Longside lower
Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
Got both of mine this morning
Having paid up front for next season, I wonder how that will all pan out regarding refunds, as its looking like we will not be allowed in the first games, then possibly reduced capicity, how on earth will they be able to work out who is owed what?

I’ve been wondering how they are going to do “reduced capacity” as well.Grumps wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 7:56 amGot both of mine this morning

If the people you go in with are from same household then that’s fine, but a lot of go with friends from other households. In my case, I go with 3 others, one of which is my 12yo godson.
Now if I can’t go with him and he can’t go alone then he’ll not go at all.
Also if it’s your “designated game” and you are unable to go, is that your chance gone?
As harsh as it is, if all can’t go then non should go
Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
As we know TV calls the shots and if they want crowds back in some way it will happen.
When you say if all can’t go then non should go - are you meaning all Season Ticket holders or just your group
In principle I would be in favour or a boycott if it was just a few who could go on and it was my “designated” game, but I don’t think it would work as some would still go on. I would like to think the club liaise with the supporters groups to get to the best “working solution” in the circumstances and not just make the rules up themselves.

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
I would imagine only that those who travel to away games by coach would have any affiliation to supporters groups and as such they represent a very small number of supporters. Surely it is up to the Club to make such decisions, if indeed there are any to be made.Dy1geo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 8:31 amAs we know TV calls the shots and if they want crowds back in some way it will happen.

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
Exactly the opposite of how it should work. Football clubs are required to consult with their supporter base and would usually do that through representatives. Ultimately clubs will make the decision but I wouldn't assume supporters group membership is in any way restricted to those who use coach travel.tybfc wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 9:02 amI would imagine only that those who travel to away games by coach would have any affiliation to supporters groups and as such they represent a very small number of supporters. Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
Perhaps it will be season ticket holders only I.e. those who have already paid and who haven't had to cancel their dd.
I wonder how many season ticket holders are like me and have had to cancel their dd' s?
So perhaps we are at 8 or 9000 already?
Just spread the lucky ones out around the ground.

Why would you wish for nobody to enjoy their hobby just because you can't?
Sounds very selfish.
For some it's the only time they get out of the house.

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
Tell me about it - weather has severely restricted my early morning walks recently and it seems as though it is day after day after day sat in the house. I had a Tesco delivery on Saturday evening and had an item for a neighbour who I'd never met before this current situation. I took it up to her house for her and we had 20 minutes chat outside. She's really nice but I thought when I got home that that is now my social life apart from having had the Face Time chat again for the match.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 10:23 amFor some it's the only time they get out of the house.

To use your own argument, why would you wish for children not to enjoy their hobby?
If it was just me, my dad & brother that went on then it wouldn't be an issue as we would all be ok to go by ourselves, but when you take kids on, and those kids are from different households, then there is the problem
I couldn't take my godson on, or if my brother can't make it, I cant take my nephew.

Working from home is Groundhog Day also. Love the option to work from home and love seeing my family every day. But also miss the office, seeing customers and even the time in the car on my own listening to podcasts.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 10:43 amTell me about it - weather has severely restricted my early morning walks recently and it seems as though it is day after day after day sat in the house. You don’t know that for sure. As nobody know what rules will be. But best way to view it is it’s likely to be similar to away games. You win some you lose some.wilks_bfc wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 10:45 amTo use your own argument, why would you wish for children not to enjoy their hobby?

Ultimately some fans is better than no fans. And all fans is better than some fans. Hopefully a gradual return to all fans soon. But even 5k would be a win this year.

Not had mine.
I changed my name to "00123" by deed poll, 5 years ago, just for moments like this.
Clearly it wasn't worth it.

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley confirm ticket refunds
It's only one bank the file would be going to, BFC's bank, and they would then pay out to the other bank accounts. Payment data is normally provided as a file in xml or csv format.UnderSeige wrote: ↑Fri Jul 10, 2020 1:19 pmI have had the E-Mail.
"This process is now underway and supporters will see the bank transfer payment entering their chosen bank accounts over the coming days/weeks. This is a large and complex project for us to complete, while also still running under restricted coronavirus working guidelines, so we kindly ask for your patience as we get this process completed" (the club).
I guess we will just have to be patient. The club will most likely have had to have a batch program developed that will pick up the information needed for the BACS transfer from their database. It would then put the information into a file and transmit to the supporters banks. No doubt there will be several different banks to transfer to. I'm not sure whether there is a standard format or whether each bank will have their own format. Perhaps they will do it one bank at a time.
There is then likely to be a 'BACS rejects process'. If any supporter has entered their details inaccurately the bank will reject the transfer. The club are then likely to receive a 'rejects file' from each bank. They will need some way of processing the rejects and finding an alternative way of reimbursing the supporters affected.
I suspect a little more thought at the start when people provided their refund option and bank details would have speeded up generating this.
