Brentford vs Fulham (the richest game in football)
I fancy Brentford to edge it 2-1 they've got more match winners in their squad, and you feel this is vital to them, if they don't make it up this time then they'll struggle to hold on to their stars, whereas Fulham will come again.
Plus it'd be great to see a new name in the PL, and for the fans that travel they might be able to visit a new stadium depending on the state of the restrictions by then.

I'm still waiting for Cardiff to appeal to the Welsh FA

Re: Brentford vs Fulham (the richest game in football)
I've nothing against Fulham, but I'm hoping Brentford make the step up. Fulham will come again regardless. Brentford on the other hand, with so many players being eyed and admired elsewhere, may have an oh so difficult month or so before the new season starts if the exit door starts opening. They'll probably never have a better chance, and I'd love to see it happen.

I'd prefer Brentford but Fulham played some good stuff over the SF two legs.

The fact that this is the richest game in world football to be mentioned at least a dozen times during Sky coverage.
That is a pretty safe prediction

I’m not sure whether Cardiff and Swansea were ever successful in trying to move out of the FAW into the FA.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 2:48 pmI'm still waiting for Cardiff to appeal to the Welsh FA

Re: Brentford vs Fulham (the richest game in football)
Tempted to have a decent bet on Brentford to be promoted. Mitrovic can't be fully fit and the other lad who scored Kebano also went off last game with a hamstring. 8/13 seems a fair price

Either way it’s a decent away day , pandemic permitting obviouslyclaretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 3:53 pmTempted to have a decent bet on Brentford to be promoted. Mitrovic on bench, but their record without him is pretty good.

I’ve said today that I think Fulham will win so it’s probably going to be Brentford. Looking forward to the game though.

Not really seen much of Brentford this season but early stages they seem to be a pass for the sake of passing team. Left to right, back again and repeat across their own penalty area followed by a long ball. Let's see how the game unfolds....

I'm flicking between this and the snooker. Will see how many goals I miss.

Re: Brentford vs Fulham (the richest game in football)
Quite a slow start, Brentford checking back when 1v1 and there's a chance to hit the dead ball line.
All this we will attack attack attack looks a bit false.
Fulham might do a job on them here, Brentford look nervous.
Fulham.at 3/1 looks a good bet
( although I want Brentford for new ground tick )

Fancy Fulham the way Brentford are defending
Hadn’t realised how much Brentford have paid for their squad
TV said £30million

Nearly the opener from Fulham. Good save from ex-Venky Raya.

We played them in the FA Cup in Jan ‘65. They played in a blue so dark it looked black.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 7:58 pmCome on, Brentford! Didn't know the used to play in blue, back in the day.

We were linked with Harrison Reed recently and I can see why Dyche would want him. Performs that Cork sweeping up role nicely.

The game is more like a friendly, to much pish farting about and no blood and thunder

It's not the most thrilling of play off finals is it, hopefully it'll improve 2nd half.
Harrison Reed is treading a thin line, that tackle could have seen red on another day.

Fancy Brentford to do Fulham. Fulham pass it about to much without creating a great deal.
Re: Brentford vs Fulham (the richest game in football)
Just out of interest .... normally the losers of this game get the gate receipts to compensate a bit for the winners getting the PL money

Isn’t that usually an agreement between the two clubs?
As for the game - over an hour gone and nothing to get excited about

Re: Brentford vs Fulham (the richest game in football)
Brentford have choked twice v Stoke and then Barnsley, looks like this might be the 3rd time.
If they do go up, they need to invest heavily, last 3 times I've seen them in the aforementioned games, theyve looked a poor side ( obviously not eith their league position)

Its really lumbering... passing not that neat/crisp. Neither team looks up for anything.

Neeskens Kebano - named after the Dutch great from the 70s perhaps?
Re: Brentford vs Fulham (the richest game in football)
These two should make a difference for Fulham
Re: Brentford vs Fulham (the richest game in football)
Brentford growing into it, Fulham need Mitrovic on as a target man.

At least both teams play out from the back -
Always a positive for us

Re: Brentford vs Fulham (the richest game in football)
This is that poor, they should both have to stay in the championship, and we run next season with 19 teams with only 2 relegated.

Wonder if either of these will be unable to fill their bench should they make Premier League.
