So who do you fancy in the playoffs
First legs:
Swansea City v Brentford (18:30 BST, Sunday)
Cardiff City v Fulham (19:45 BST, Monday)
Second legs:
Brentford v Swansea City (19:45 BST, Wednesday)
Fulham v Cardiff City (19:45 BST, Thursday)
Play-off final to be played at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday 4 August.
Quick turnaround with the 1st leg being on Sunday, you have to wonder if Swansea will do a Wycombe, they squeezed into the playoffs and went all the way, and they've got the Momentum behind them.
An all South Wales final anybody? Brentford have gone off the boil, and Fulham are brittle at the best of times.

Got to fancy the Swans as Brentford have just imploded
Cardiff too on a better run than Fulham over last three but not last 5 games

A Cardiff/Swansea final will make the boys in blue relieved we're in lockdown.

Fulham and Brentford are the better teams, but they're also bigger bottlers than Cardiff and Swansea.

36.84% of Notts Forrest fans thought they'd win the play offs.
The poll is now closed (hahahaha) but you can still view it on their forum.

I think Fulham will win the play offs. Right blend of experience, quality and form.

Swansea they are on a roll and will go up
Re: So who do you fancy in the playoffs
Momentum is with Swansea but I'd like little Brentford to have a little crack at the Premier League.

Re: So who do you fancy in the playoffs
I think Cardiff will go up now. They’ve been consistent since the restart.
It’ll be interesting to see how the promoted sides do. The points tallies required to clinch automatic promotion and a play off berth were relatively low by recent standards. Some will say this points to what a competitive league it is, but I wonder if it’s just been a very poor standard this season.

I won't pretend I've watched a lot of Championship football last season but every time I have seen it, it's been poor.agreenwood wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 7:46 amI think Cardiff will go up now. They’ve been consistent since the restart.

Re: So who do you fancy in the playoffs
Hopefully Brenford
Re: So who do you fancy in the playoffs
I have no idea how any of the teams are playing so based purely on I have never seen them and (hopefully) they will be the weakest with zero experience in the PL I hope Brentford come up.
Re: So who do you fancy in the playoffs
Would like to see Brentford do it. If they don't, you would have to fear losing 3-5 players this summer if you were a bees fan. Think Swansea or Brentford will do it.

Re: So who do you fancy in the playoffs
I wouldn’t back against an all Welsh final with Cardiff winning.
Re: So who do you fancy in the playoffs
Just my observation:
Swansea acted as though they won the world cup last night. Not a good sign (see Derby last season)
Brentford, flat track bullies who seem to have no mental strength when the going gets tough. Total bottlers
My gut feeling is for Cardiff, as they have the experience and are in good form.

Re: So who do you fancy in the playoffs
To be fair to Swansea they did! Don’t think many people expected Forest to lose 4-1 and them to win by the same score!Ric_C wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 4:02 pmJust my observation:

It’s a quick turnaround and the team in 3rd that has just missed out often seems to suffer.

I think Fulham will win it, but I hope they don't.
I'd prefer Swansea/Cardiff to win, but would also settle for Brentford.
So basically, anybody but Fulham.

Re: So who do you fancy in the playoffs
Rooting for Brentford.
New club to the Premier Land (leaving PNE as perennial bridesmaids), highly unlikely to succeed, possible easy 6 points and also potentially a new ground.

Re: So who do you fancy in the playoffs
Think Brentford peaked a bit too early. Fancy Cardiff now, going into the games on a bit of a roll.

Re: So who do you fancy in the playoffs
Brentford & Fulham have lost every must win game this season, so why would it be any different in the pressure cooker of the playoffs.
And both might be suffering a hangover after coming so close, whereas for Cardiff & Swansea it's effectively a free hit, i'd guess at a Cardiff-Swansea final. Who wins out of that duo pass, i can see it going to ET and maybe even pens, they're very closely matched.

Re: So who do you fancy in the playoffs
might be wrong, but got a sneaky feeling Brentfords keeper will let them down. I had a premonition he will turn into Coco the clown and do one of those comedic dives, about ten minutes after the ball goes in the net.
