It would be absolutely ridiculous to sell McNeil for 30. He kept us from being relegated when he came in.

We need to remember how much we would lose by going down and staying down.

Manchester or London in reality, however agree that being London based now would favour Palace.

Never seen him do owt that Lennon couldn't do.

He'll be on alot less money than Lennon (I'm guessing), and considering Lennon is not at the club now he would contribute alot more too!

Do you actually belive Burnley player's live up Duke bar, stoops estate and stonyhome, do you think they live in Burnley.

Cheshire or London hmmmm I know the one I'd pick and it isn't down south

In which case it would be Cheshire against Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire or Hertfordshire

So Leicester want two of our players. If one does leave, I'm a fan of Demarai Gray to come here as part of a deal.

We wouldn’t, cos we’re Northerners. Being honest, there’s some beautiful places in London to live, you have one of the worlds most best cities and a better climate. If you’re already there, as BOS is, even Cheshire would seem a backwards step.

As for BOS, seems to feature more on the left, and also holds on to the ball. Good player, but think we need a someone RW and prepared to cross - Eliasson is the much better option for me. And even cheaper, allegedly.

at his price - £3-5m - we could have got him in before the season starts. Dyche’s comments re: being able to do the cheaper deals quickly probably means we are not in for him at all.

It’s not Burnley or London though, is it?

1. How many Burnley players live in Burnley?

2. Which London club have bid for him?

I’ll never understand why people will post gash like that to downplay how attractive our club is to the majority of players in world football.

You'd question why we aren't as he ticks all the boxes, including fee and wages.

Squad depth is key and whilst he might not be a guaranteed starter (and we do need them), he'd add a different dimension.

We certainly need players in, before anybody goes out. If any of our better players are to be sold, it needs to be, "Only if we can find a replacement" - if we don't, then the player stays until the next window.

He’s not even a starter at Bristol, so you can’t imagine he’d have an issue stepping up and being on the bench but could grow in to the team!

Would be great to have a great option to throw on last 25 minutes to whip crosses in when we need a goal.

Villa now interested, apparently, so probably too late if we were ever interested :(

I’ve heard we’ve been offered Danny Rose by Tottenham.

Would make a great defensive left wing

Surprised we haven’t spent £10m or so on 2-3 players from the Championship just to fill out the squad a bit.

Osayi Samuel 3£M
Mawson Loan
Bogle £7M
Conor Gallagher loan

would’ve been decent tbh

Would anyone have been upset at those 4 providing we lost no one? I don’t think anyone is expecting us to spend £50M but there are players available for lower fees and loan deals and we are somehow “not even close to anything yet”

We know that history suggests Dyche has his targets and sticks to them from window to window.. but I agree those 4 would certainly have strengthened the squad and not break the bank, which is commonly the claim for why we don't sign players.

Would not want Rose anywhere near Burnley and I am sure Dyche wouldn't either.

The fella is a flake and would be a burden to the club, similar to what Gibson was

Not sure why we would want to bring Mawson in when he is on big wages (they beat us to his signature and we were offering a lot of money to buy him) and he has failed to get in a team that are favourites for relegation.

Samuel looks a good prospect in a position we need players.

Bogle - not so sure...times I have seen him he does not look that good to me personally. But Dyche and his team will know more and if they thought he was good enough then I guess at that price they would given its a position we need to invest in for the future (and probably now given the limitations of Bardsley and the form of Lowton)

Conor Gallagher - been good reports but not seen enough of him. Also plays up front where we already have 4 players so doubt we are interested and nobody would want to loan him to us if he was hardly going to play.

So maybe 1 out of your list....and he is going to probably follow his mate and move down the road to Palace if they show any interest - but if Dyche wants him he will no doubt be trying.

With the market incredibly low and clubs without cash we should be at our strongest, we should be able to cherry pick from the Covid stricken clubs, Valencia had their entire squad up for sale so imagine how lower clubs have been impacted, those clubs aren’t getting £130M income per year.

Look at Wigan, non of those players were good enough for us?

He'd be wanting first team football. Got a reputation for throwing his toys when he doesn't get his way and he definitely wouldn't be guaranteed a starting place ahead of Taylor.

Mawson would be cheap cover, Dyche fancied him before. We don’t need to replace Mee or Tark (yet), hopefully we learnt the lesson and don’t spend another £15M on a 3rd choice central defender.

Conor Gallagher is a box to box central midfielder.

Bogle another we have been heavily linked with previously, gone for a pretty low fee. We need a right back for the future imo, I don’t think it would’ve been a bad shout or deal.

No point in spending money for the sake of it.

Our transfer policy over the last few years as stood us well, we will no doubt do as we always do and make a couple of 11th hour signings.

Absolutely. We have 14 available outfield players so we can afford to lose another 4 before we fire up the fax machine at the back end of October.

Look at the transfers from the Championship, clubs cost cutting and spending nothing on permanent deals, absolute prime time for a club like us to cherry pick from.

As long as the season tickets are frozen again, and the accounts are a very healthy read, there's really no point risking the future if the club by spending 100m and paying 100k a week to players.

I'd rather is not be the next Bolton, or even worse Bury.

Be careful what you wish for.

Not much point firing the fax machine up at the end of October considering the window shuts on the 5th. :)

We're not talking about spending moiney for the sake of it. We're talking about replacing Gibson and Lennon and boosting what is already a very thin squad. If we don't sign anyone and have 3/4 injuries to key players IMO we will be looking at relegation and all the dry powder we've saved up won't guarantee promotion.

We certainly need some new recruits but to throw daft money at the likes of Rose would be suicidal.

Our transfer policy has served us well in the past, supporters should be patient and not press the panick button.

I don’t see what Rose could bring to this team when we already have Taylor, McNeil, Brady and Pieters.

Rose is a busted flush, and he hardly impressed in his loan spell at Newcastle, anyway it looks like he's eyeing up an overseas move, so thankfully we'll avoid a bullet with him, he's also on big bucks, and he's hardly one for the future, so I don't see any pluses to signing him, we've just managed to offload Hart & Lennon who were costing a fortune for little return, we don't need another one of that ilk thanks very much.

If we signed Danny Rose it would free Pieters up to become our 4th choice centre back/centre midfielder ;)

Yep yet the manager keeps asking for more money

Add Lennon and Drinwaster to that list as well - and people wonder why the chairman is reluctant to release funds and been trying to tell people for over 12 months
