Is there anywhere I can top up my virtue, for signalling purposes?

Good, Bordeaux has seen this thread and won't miss out on the sale. Hopefully Tall Paul will look in tonight before they all go.
Ah Lancaster, brings back memories of when I tried to hoodwink my form teacher about my homework and still ended up in detention.

Be careful, don't give the game away that you have a sense of humour

The last thing anyone wants is to give the game away.

Looks a good deal, but I’d need to be certain they weren’t made in a sweat shop and are made of fully recyclable materials.

Where did you spot this advertised? If it was The Guardian then I’ll trust everything is above board and will be there tomorrow!

I once spent a whole weeks wages on a pair of sandals from Browns in South Molton St in London. 😁🤔

The venomous styles have sold out (I suspect Dick Advocaat has bought them all), and there are only child sizes left.

I only need one for my left foot anyway, I refuse to have anything to do with the right.

He'll be fine. It's the right foot that will be prone to making embarrassing u-turns.
Then it will blame foreign imports or a particularly iffy left shoe that hasn't seen the light of day for a decade.
