He's a regular on the radio.
The poster was suggesting people were being critical of him because of his skin colour
Iam saying they are being critical because he's shite, needs to take a breath, needs to learn how to pronounce certain words, and how to put a sentence together, after that he needs to brush up on his football knowledge.

What I was suggesting was nothing to do with Clinton Morrison. I was talking about the original topic of the thread.Grumps wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 7:38 pmHe has been on before you know

Some people’s immediate thoughts about the QOS team being replaced were “not more diversity”.
It’s sickening.

Surprised Sue Barker lasted as long as she has. All the personality of a polystyrene insert.
Last time I saw it, the show seemed tired and in need of a revamp.

Didn't seem like that, as a lot of the posts were about morrison, which fits the post you made. Apologies if that isn't the caseGranny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 7:38 pmWhat I was suggesting was nothing to do with Clinton Morrison. I was talking about the original topic of the thread.

Re: Sue Barker to leave QOS
Morrison might well be rubbish but for every Morrison there is a Thompson, Merson etc.
Nothing wrong with having a talented panel that represents the diversity in the UK.
Some people seem petrified of it though.

You've hit the nail on the head with " talented panel"Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 7:48 pmMorrison might well be rubbish but for every Morrison there is a Thompson, Merson etc.

What happens when the panel isn't talented, but ticks the diversity box?
I would love to see a talented panel, representing every area of society, unfortunately I haven't seen one yet.

To be fair I’ve not seen an all white male panel on soccer Saturday that ticks the talented box either.

I think Bob Carolgees and Spit the Dog would make for good replacements (black dog as well).
A black dog spitting at a paralympian and Gareth Thomas, the ratings would go through the roof.

Barely watch QOS these days ,it’s a long time since it was essential viewing . Though as Cliff Richard’s ex wife Sue Barker nears her 80th birthday surely time to let go ? I don’t see people “ terrified “ of diversity though ? And would having a black as a team leader be an issue for anyone ? I’d say 99.9% no issue at all .
It’s simply the case of changing a familiar line up

Re: Sue Barker to leave QOS
I don't know about anyone else, but I stopped watching it years ago.
Tufnell and Dawson were quite funny at first, but then it just became a muppets parody of themselves. The quiz was overtaken by them trying too hard to be funny.
It could still be a good show if they went back to an actual quiz, instead of the madcap crap they put in.

Since Sue Barker is 65 next year and will probably still host the BBC Wimbledon annual bore I don't think this can come as a big surprise.

I revered Carl Fogarty as a World Superbike champion but saw him in a different light when he made the mistake of appearing on programs like this and Pointless; no fear, no brains, a true son of Blackburn. Neil Hodgson is on a different level.

Paid though. £15,000 for going on Pointless as a celeb and probably the same for QOS.kritichris wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 8:21 pmI revered Carl Fogarty as a World Superbike champion but saw him in a different light when he made the mistake of appearing on programs like this and Pointless; no fear, no brains, a true son of Blackburn. Re: Sue Barker to leave QOS
If Alex Scott and Gareth Thomas were team captains, the thing stopped being inanely childish and sue barker was binned, I might start watching it again.
Not sure who I'd want as the host. Johnny Herbert, maybe? Preferably not a tennis player or runner. Warren sapp would be amusing. I don't see that an "entertainer" would be a step forward.

Yep 4-5 million fossils (though not this one for many years); paying (now including 75+ payers) over half a billion £ per year in licence money. Why should the BBC feel the need to do anything for those old farts in any way?claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 8:23 amOnly fossils watch Question of Sport. Seems like a mixed response on social media. Personally think Alex Scott is fine in small doses but not for this. Will see how it goes and see if they make up for it with the captains.

Alex Scott is v knowledgeable about sport, articulate and presents herself well. Whether the BBC is correct to replace SB with her on this programme is yet to be seen- we need to see how (if) the viewing ratings move.

Re: Sue Barker to leave QOS
Was there really any fuss 20 odd yrs ago when the always popular Barker replaced Coleman ? The BBC is so crippled with political correctness they were always going to replace the 3 with 1 x female /1 x black / 1 x white ( either sex ) Scott being a female black lesbian seems boxes are ticked already . She’s a bit lacking in charisma but seems to have progressed well so good for her .
