Re: Burnley express headline re tarkowski
You would have expected a degree of support and positivity from your local media. All this does is have you scampering across all other material to see if the story has merit.Maybe a reflection of their poor paper

Re: Burnley express headline re tarkowski
Sadly that's NOT the Burnley Express and by using its name does no more than undermine such as Chris Boden & Dan Black who try to cover the Clarets in a far more sensible and fair way.
I won't click on it but I bet it is Jordan Cronin writing it.

I knew that, but I thought maybe the reporter didn't, so I had to read it to make sure.dandeclaret wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 10:43 am

Re: Burnley express headline re tarkowski
I’ve noticed the awful clickbait transfer feed on there, the headline will lead with a rumour about Burnley, but then you have to click through several pages of random stuff about other teams before you get to the Burnley part on page 8, and even then it’s usually a non-story. Shocking platform.
Re: Burnley express headline re tarkowski
I get that 100%.....but it would be better if Boden didn't retweet themClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 10:44 amSadly that's NOT the Burnley Express and by using its name does no more than undermine such as Chris Boden & Dan Black who try to cover the Clarets in a far more sensible and fair way.

I raised this the other week when they had the headline
“Burnley 'face battle' to keep hold of star man as Leeds United 'hold further talks' over attacking midfielder”

Re: Burnley express headline re tarkowski
I guess they are suggesting, and no I haven't read it, but if WH are selling a midfielder to Liverpool, they may have the ££££ to come back with an improved offer for Tarkowski.

You are giving it too much credit.
The midfielder having the medical is Thiago

Re: Burnley express headline re tarkowski
It's not impossible that someone else has access to Boden's Twitter to do the re-tweeting for him.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 11:00 amMaybe he's required to - I don't know but that's possible.
A few years back my employer wanted to put out some tweets under my name. I've never used twitter. I didn't have an account (and don't now). So, someone in the marketing dept set up an account under my name - then they posted the stuff - while I was fast asleep in another part of the world. I don't think I every saw the posts. For that matter, I don't think many other people saw it or re-tweeted it, other than my marketing colleagues. The subject matter was quite technical - and impossible to make sense of with 140 characters. Marketing decided they'd too much material - I was told they left out every third part, so lost all the little bit of sense that they'd intended to message.
Not sure what emoticon to use to summarise this little anecdote. Let's go with smiley face.
