That didn't look offside at all. Seems they didn't even check with VAR.

Unrelated to the ‘offside’ but the referees headset is goosed and he can’t hear VAR.

VAR wouldnt matter since the ref blew the whistle before Wood scored. Not sure what the linesman was smoking, though.

Referee had blown following the linesman flagging so play had stopped even though Wood carried on

Actually thinking about it I’m surprised Wood wasn’t booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle

They are there was an incident in one of the afternoon games, and the player was miles offside, but the assistant didn't flag and it went to VAR even though it was an obvious call. That's the protocol they're supposed to follow.
