Brilliant save off a Charlie screamer.
Ref wouldn't have given it anyway....

Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
that's mental. I can only think they don't have the camera angle available, which is unbelievable if so.

Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
I actually have no idea what is going on now.
Why do we not have VAR in the match?

Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
That’s a disgrace. Never offside and didn’t review it

That didn't look offside at all. Seems they didn't even check with VAR.
I think the officials are being paid off.

Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
Unrelated to the ‘offside’ but the referees headset is goosed and he can’t hear VAR.
How is that unrelated to a VAR call?

Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
Refs headset not working, dear lord. Amateur night.
Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
VAR wouldnt matter since the ref blew the whistle before Wood scored. Not sure what the linesman was smoking, though.

I thought linemen were supposed to keep their flags down in that situation.
It's so bloody confusing these days.

More like 11 v 14
Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
When stuff like this happens and the whole Southgate not picking Tarks, it really does prick the paranoia in me that the powers that be really don’t want us in the top flight at all
Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
Equally bizarre was the lack of protest from us. Why are we so flat?
Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
goal mnd no VAR check I thought that was mandatory

If we don't get anything out of this game, we're going to struggle this season.

Showed the replay and he was offside. Fair enough.
Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
Isn’t going to happen for us tonight. Officials abandoning the basics.

Other angle shows he was off.
Ref and lino still shouldn’t have flagged or blown

We haven’t done enough to break them down, can’t see why the refs getting the blame. There’s still time yet UTC
Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
Not quite, Wood was offside

Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
Get one of the kids on for Stephens.
Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
he only blew the whistle because the lino flagged, should not have flagged
Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
Got the ball
Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
Bring Glennon on!!
Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
I think we need to kick the ball really high in the air some more. Has worked a treat so far

We look really disjointed tonight. Too much hopeful lumping of the ball forward.

Re: BURNLEY. V. SAINTS
They are there was an incident in one of the afternoon games, and the player was miles offside, but the assistant didn't flag and it went to VAR even though it was an obvious call. That's the protocol they're supposed to follow.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 9:18 pmI thought linemen were supposed to keep their flags down in that situation.
