4-2-3-1

Post by expoultryboy » Sun Sep 27, 2020 8:38 am

Until we get Mee fit and hopefully a new CH ( presuming Tarks is going) , why not go with 2 holding midfielders to assist Long and Dunne ? Put Brownhill on the right with Bardsley and Pieters on the left with Taylor , this would allow McNeil to have a free role ( as at Palace) to play behind Woody . Hard on Vydra , but its its only a temporary measure until something happens .

How dare you suggest a change of system. Seriously, last night was crying out for Lowton to come on after 60 mins to play right wing back and shift Dwight more central. Bards is a great defender, but at least Lowton can put in a killer cross occasionally.

Yes that change should have been made last night after 60 minutes.

So the OP basically wants Pieters in for Vydra and doesn't seem to realise that if our midfielders played any deeper we might as well give them gloves to help Pope out.

Who needs Dyche eh, get the ginger whinger axed and get Colonel Sanders in charge

If anything, we need 5 at the back, or a 4-1-4-1, with someone anchoring the midfield.

3 at the back looks like suicide as it's a more attacking than 4-4-2. It really isn't Football Manager.

To be fair, that first half at Palace when McNeil played as a number 10 was some of the best football we’ve played throughout the Dyche reign. I’d love to see us keep the ball like that again.

Get 2 quality wingers who aren't injured, and we'd probably move him inside again, but I can't see us being in that position anytime soon.
