I'm more shocked at them getting a cleansheet.

3 in 3 games,not bad.
Re: BAMFORD
Shocked me too. He looked absolutely useless whilst he was here.
It’s amazing what a bit of confidence does for you.

Another one Dyche couldn’t get the best out of? File alongside Gibson.

I really don’t get all the derision he gets on here (all the “hilarious” remarks about “crying in the car” etc, about as hilarious as referencing Dyche and cooking omlettes). He was literally never given a chance at Burnley.

Does anyone really care ? Some long forgotten ex loan player . Never quite get the misty eyed whimsy that some have for meaningless ex big part players

Re: BAMFORD
Judging by all the post about him since Leeds went up including his own thread I would say yes. In fact there's probably a fair few really hoping he will fail who will soon pipe up and start slagging him off should him and Leeds start to struggle

Re: BAMFORD
Hes on tune this season
Never put in a shift at Burnley but fair play Leeds manager has got him performing
I still am expecting Leeds to bomb
Sheff Utd aren't the team they were
2nd season syndrome and it's all going pear shaped

In my fantasy team
Re: BAMFORD
He will have no problem scoring against our current defense. Nothing against Dunne or Long but they are clearly inferior to Tarks and Mee

Re: BAMFORD
Two facts that you can’t argue with.
Re: BAMFORD
His goal was lucky today.....he meant to knock it across the box to the number 20 but he sliced it off his head and past the keeper, but they all count

He has looked like the player I was hoping we would be getting... but I’d still prefer out current four.

He's started well I'll give him that, and so have Leeds, but let's wait and see where he and they are in a few months.

Re: BAMFORD
Leeds have started off ok, but they got beat by Liverpool and I don't think Liverpool have played that badly in 5 years, and beat a Sheffield United side who had lost their previous 2 and look all over the place. And they just about beat Fulham 4-3 who look bloody awful.
So they've not actually done anything yet that's surprising.
I was out for my sister's birthday earlier and one of the waiters was a Leeds fan. He said, "Burnley, who supports Burnley?" I said, "Ah was born and bred there so loyal to my home town. Where were you born and raised?"... "Barnsley" - says it all.

I couldn't give a monkey's to be honest but know enough (wayyyy too many) Leeds fans who would still love Wood back and agree with us that Taylor should be in the England squad.

Re: BAMFORD
The only action he got at the Turf was walking across the pitch to the dugout and back again at full time,so if a couple of minutes walking across a pitch makes him look absolutely useless, your judgement is flawed

Re: BAMFORD
Correct steve he really didnt get a chance tbf....
Re: BAMFORD
Are you saying that when he turned up for training he wasn't allowed to play in practice matches? That he wasn't allowed to play in under 23/reserve matches? That he was never put in front of goal to try and score?SkiptonClaret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 2:16 pmI really don’t get all the derision he gets on here (all the “hilarious” remarks about “crying in the car” etc, about as hilarious as referencing Dyche and cooking omlettes). The manager didn't leave out his first choice players to give a reserve player a few games - that's true. It's also the normal way of business.

I suspect they'll rest a few of their 1st team stars like Bamford when they play the weaker teams like us and West BromBurnleyMickSouth wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 12:18 ama pound to a pinch of salt he scores against us either at the Turf or at Bellend road, coyc.

Re: BAMFORD
He was given opportunities at Burnley but like Challobah and other Chelsea loanees he display a serious case of cba attitude
At Dirty Leeds he has a coach who seems to be able to get the best out of him
Like others on here, I of course am wanting Leeds to bomb

Re: BAMFORD
He is a proven goal scorer in the championship and his start as really surprised me this season as I didn’t think he was sharp or quick enough for the PL. what do I know. Villa did look awful last night mind.
Although I hate to say it Bielsa has Leeds playing some really good stuff.

Re: BAMFORD
To be fair 2 of his 3 finishes were high quality. Even the tap in was thought out as he screwed it wider than where the keeper could block it.

Re: BAMFORD
"He was given opportunities at Burnley but like Chalobah"
Chalobah made just 4 sub appearances for Burnley totalling just 65 minutes.
Contrast that to Bamford at Leeds, where Bielsa has stuck with the player and persevered with him even when he was missing golden opportunities to score and fluffed his lines. This has obviously given Bamford confidence in his ability and Leeds are now reaping the rewards on the pitch.

Re: BAMFORD
Bang on.....Dyche is great at picking a good defensive unit but struggles in the last third fair enough.....biesla as given the Lad confidence and stuck by him. For me the Abuse bamford got at turf moor like many before him left a sour taste ..more than S.Dyches missed opportunity to spot his talent.kentonclaret wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 9:36 am"He was given opportunities at Burnley but like Chalobah"
